http://pixelpig07.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 19, 2014. When delving into Christmas music there are all kinds of dangers you can encounter for Music is subjective. While you can love a song it may sound like fingernails on a chalkboard to others. This Christmas music list is MY list not yours, this is not a debate. If you think I am out of my mind great, so be it. If you hate something on this list and feel the need to comment realize you are also commenting on a choice that means something to me. 5 Smalltown Poets "Christmas".

A condition with no known cure. I retired in 2004 and have never missed the 8-5 grind even for a minute. Now I spend my time reading, traveling, quilting and trying to learn new things like Spanish and blogging. April 25, 2014. I have been a quilting derelict for months but this week I got inspired to tackle the Japanese Jigsaw I have been eyeballing. I borrowed the pattern from a friend so long ago, she probably thinks I have stolen it. … Continue reading →. 12 x 12–Favorite expressions theme. There wer...

A condition with no known cure. Newer posts →. September 3, 2013. For the first time ever, I am going take some quilts to the “sale room” at QuiltFest 2013 and I realize I never posted about this quilt (which is on my sell list). Last year when I was trying to decrease my stash, I ordered the book Radiant Sunshine and Shadow: 23 Quilts with Nine-patch Sparkle. I will report back on this first foray into marketing my wares. Back at the machine and loving it. August 16, 2013. August 9, 2013. So I looked at...

Crafty Turtle: March 2014

Wednesday, March 26, 2014. For some reason, the more popular Young Adult (YA) Fiction novels right now are of the dystopian genre. And since I like to keep up with what the kids are reading, I've been reading a lot of dystopian fiction as well. The 3 I have read this month are:. I hear from my students that there are at least two sequels to this one already. I was interested enough in this story line to pick up the next two to read over Spring Break in a few weeks or maybe during the summer months. She c...

A condition with no known cure. Quilt sale room report →. 12 x 12 catch up. September 18, 2013. I am caught up for our September theme (doors)! Man, does that feel good. I missed the last two meetings so I procrastinated making the quilts. My Season theme idea is not my favorite but I did try two new (for me) techniques–stick-on crystals and couching. In an effort to show more process (and there is a lot of it in these little art quilts), here are the evolution shots of my snake and my grass🙂. Address n...

Sunday, June 8, 2014. Moon and Star Cushion cover. A couple of months ago, I made my first quilt block using foundation piecing method. I made a Sun block and a cushion cover with it. Pixelated rants...: A Portrait...
http://pixelpig07.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-portrait.html
Saturday, July 11, 2015. I've had people asking me what my recipe is for shooting head shots and portraits. I have no trade secrets. Most folks are confused when I tell them I don't need a studio to pull off the style of shots I take. All I need is about 10 feet of space and a couple of lights. And it has changed the way I can contour light and shadows. Hey, I don't hate that" we shot for another 10 minutes but none moved me like that one pic. Here's that image, beautiful. Seriously, nice work. Some peop...

Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Recent Sewing - June. I hadn't posted in a while - the end of the school year always gets a bit crazy. I have been working on some sewing projects though. The top block is my June Simply Solids block made for Liz of dancergrrlliz. I had trouble lining up the points - I'm not so good at all that precision quilting stuff. Erin at Sew at Home Mummy. Gave a review of a craftsy class. On just that topic. Maybe I should look into taking it? We are SEW worth it!

Crafty Turtle: January 2013
http://craftyturtle1.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 19, 2013. Settled on Octagonal Orbs. I've been putting off selecting a pattern for my Madrona Rd Challenge quilt until recently. I was supposed to pick something that was "new to me" or something I hadn't done before. I browsed the started and finished projects on the MRC Flicker page and was inspired to get started! I finally settled on Oh, Fransson's Octagonal Orbs block pattern. She posted a tutorial on the MQG website here. She also just recently posted her finished quilt. Krommama ...
