I think this makes an excellent opportunity to write my first post on this blog. We recently introduced TransactionScope in our project with the intention to keep data access code away from our Business Logic Layer (BLL). There are lots of articles out there covering this area, so I will not cover it here. Several DAL operations in a single TransactionScope (which is not rare in BLL.

Updates from August, 2013 Toggle Comment Threads. August 28, 2013. PathGetTempFileName() causes “The file exists” exception. The exception is thrown because there are more than 65535 temp files in your temporary directory. Ok, so i have to delete my tempfiles after i have used it. This will fix it easily. WRONG! This is a cross-application limitation. This means that your program can suffer based on other developers poorly written software:. My advice is to totally avoid the use of this method.
