Mossley80: December 2014
http://mossley80.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
The Independent Mossley AFC Website. Growing decreasingly popular since 2003. The Mossley80 State Of The Union. On Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Last night whilst on of my umpteenth re-watching of The West Wing I reached the 11th episode of the 3rd season, '100,000 Airplanes'. So without further ado, I bring you this blog's inaugural state of the union address:. Readers, Mossley80 is in quite the state. Now on with the silence and whatever worsening horrors 2015 decides to bestow. Beat The First Man.
Mossley80: Things You Thought You'd Never See Again

The Independent Mossley AFC Website. Growing decreasingly popular since 2003. Things You Thought You'd Never See Again. On Thursday, September 01, 2011. 1: Mossley topping a table. Okay, it's not the club and rather the town itself but in these thin times we can but dream. In case you're wondering the image is from the BBC quiz Pointless and yes, I'm well aware of the humour that can be had in the marrying of Mossley and the show's title. Mossley80: Mossley 0 - 4 Curzon Ashton
http://mossley80.blogspot.com/2011/08/mossley-0-4-curzon-ashton.html
The Independent Mossley AFC Website. Growing decreasingly popular since 2003. Mossley 0 - 4 Curzon Ashton. On Wednesday, August 31, 2011. I don't know about you but even though August isn't yet a footnote in the annals of history, I think it may already be time to write off Mossley's title chances for this season. And possibly our play-off hopes too. A glimpse at the score line answers that question. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Beat The First Man. Ravings Of A Boston Boy. Back Of The Net News.
Mossley80: Osset Town 2 - 1 Mossley
http://mossley80.blogspot.com/2011/08/osset-town-2-1-mossley.html
The Independent Mossley AFC Website. Growing decreasingly popular since 2003. Osset Town 2 - 1 Mossley. On Monday, August 15, 2011. You should always start as you mean to go on which is why coverage of the 2011/12 season on this blog begins with a badly written and uninteresting report on a match I didn't and had no inclination to witness. In other words it is business as usual on Mossley80. A fuller report on what happened at Ingfield is available here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A look back to...
Mossley80: Mossley 0 - 0 Runcorn Linnets
http://mossley80.blogspot.com/2011/09/mossley-0-0-runcorn-linnets.html
The Independent Mossley AFC Website. Growing decreasingly popular since 2003. Mossley 0 - 0 Runcorn Linnets. On Tuesday, September 06, 2011. If I was to write the report this match deserved you'd have finished reading it by now. In fact there'd have been nothing to read apart from the heading - just six or seven inches of white space. It started, it stopped and in the ninety minutes in between little of any consequence happened. The supposed magic of the FA Cup was certainly not with this game.

Mossley Mania: December 2007
http://mossleyafc.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2007. Mossley 0 Lancaster City 4. Mossley 2 Bridlington Town 1. Haven't posted for a couple of months as have had major camera problems. I finally treated myself just before Christmas (I could always pretend someone loves me enough to treat me! It's not as big as Smiffy's equipment! But it is a compact with many of the features of an SLR, so hopefully some better images should appear over the following weeks. It might help if our players opened their eyes! More penalty area action.
Mossley Mania: January 2007

Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Seven Up At Seel Park. Mossley 3 AFC Telford 4. Ronaldinho v Seamen in the World Cup could be said but this was even more skilful as our right back managed to move the ball more times than a Shane Warne delivery as he launched it from just inside the attacking half and netted a remarkable equalizer. Cynics may say that the wind got hold of the ball but I'll leave that up to you! Monday, January 01, 2007. Frickley Athletic 0 Mossley 4. First win (in the league) since : Oct 3rd.
Mossley Mania: February 2007

Sunday, February 25, 2007. Mossley 1 North Ferriby Utd 2. NFU clear their lines during the first half. Nothing happening this time. Another cross that resulted in nothing. This would make a good 'Spot the Ball' with a bit of Photoshop. These pictures make it look as if we dominated the first half! The kitchen sink approach comes to nothing,. Mossley v North Ferriby Utd - Flickr Album. Thursday, February 08, 2007. 2 points dropped / 1 point won? Mossley 0 Prescot Cables 0. David Eyres prepares to shoot.
Mossley Mania: August 2008
http://mossleyafc.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 17, 2008. Season Starts At Last. Clitheroe 0 Mossley 2. Mossley made a fine start to the season with a convincing win in Lancashire! It was a promising start with the side looking full of pace breaking forward, although many defences will probably not be as static as Clitheroe's. Michael Fish broke from deep and kept going to knock in the first goal to give the Lilywhites a deserved lead. Mossley capped a fine first half when Fish doubled the lead just before the break. I certainly became ...
Mossley Mania: We'll Wait Till March Then....
http://mossleyafc.blogspot.com/2008/02/well-wait-till-march-then.html
Monday, February 25, 2008. We'll Wait Till March Then. Bradford Park Avenue 3 Mossley 0. Maybe, or it was just a rank piece of refereeing. Sadly, the second half saw another capitulation and it could have been more than 3 in the end. Anyway, we still have football to attend on a Saturday and occasional Tuesday, so maybe our fortunes will change on another Yorkshire trip next Saturday. BPA clear their lines. Dave Boardman challenges for the ball. Lee Blackshaw takes on the BPA defence.

Saturday, August 02, 2008. July Pre Season Friendlies. Sorry for the lateness of these posts and picture links, but for those that know me I have had a major flood at home and am currently decorating and flooring/carpetting 4 rooms! As is usual for this stage of the season, I am not sure of many names but below are a few images from recent games. For more pictures, visit my Flickr links. Hopefully this positive start can be maintained once the real stuff starts in a fortnight. Season Starts At Last.

Monday, August 20, 2007. Not A Day To Judge. Garforth Town 2 Mossley 1. Everybody arrived full of promise looking forward to the new season but the game was marred by a broken left leg for Mike Jefferson. Mossley seemed to have started quite well when a lunge on Paul Garvey which should surely have seen a straight red card seemed to alter the pattern of the game. From this point onwards the home side seemed to win every 50/50 decision and many 60/40 and 70/30 ones. Anyway, hopefully Jefferson will recove...
