No sure what I remember as the biggest adjustment was in going from running water and electricity to neither. As a kid Ijust remember having fun playing in the snow and exploring a whole mountian. If I were to do this now I’m sure it would be the lack of a hot shower each morning that would drive me insane. But kids don’t like baths so it was nothing for me. Patty and Mark Stevens.

Kelly Hill an Introduction. Memories of life on a Mountain. Laquo; Winter Time. December 5, 2008 by mountainwriter. I never attended the high school in Kettle Falls, only the old Orient school. A small school house built in 1910, it is today the oldest school building still in use in the State of Washington. It looks nearly the same today as it did when I attended in the early 70’s.
