I started the day out traveling to Mitake station (御岳駅)(pictured below) via the Ome Line (青梅線). It’s about an hour west of Shinjuku and is really a straight shot. I quickly made some boiled vegetables, eggs, and pork, mainly because that’s all I had laying around, and stuffed a slice of bread into my impromptu lunch box, bundled up and headed out to the new winter wonderland.
