DiaryDad Defined (about me). But Daddy Why Podcast. This book is a big deal to me. Written by DiaryDad - June 10th, 2015. I didn’t give up in my quest and as I made my way through the volumes of books for expectant moms I happened on a book titled “The Expectant Father” by Armin Brott. The National At Home Dad Network. And The Dad 2.0 Summit. 8230; I can trace my involvement in those groups and to becoming a dad blogger myself to finding Armin’s book on a shelf in Barnes and Noble 12 years ago.

The Baby Expert: September 2014
http://thebabyexpert.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
September 7, 2014. Here to Pump You Up. Has it really been two months since I last checked in? I'd like to think it’s because I’ve been so busy working out. While blogging is a good form of finger exercise, I have been neglecting my other major muscles groups for some time now. Exercising and my physical health have been on the decline ever since leaving college. It took its biggest dip when I got hitched. No need to impress anyone anymore, right? Graders casually hiked by me was enough motivation for me...

The Baby Expert: February 2014
http://thebabyexpert.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
February 12, 2014. I’ve always wondered what would happen if the wife were to leave for a few days and put me in charge of the toddler at home. Would the household descend into total chaos? Would I party all night? Would the baby turn on me? I can now answer all three of those questions with a definitive ‘no.’. Jobs were handed out and fingers were crossed. My mom was put in charge of cooking, my dad in charge of keeping Caitlyn entertained, and I everything else. However, bedtime actually turned out to ...

The Baby Expert: October 2014
http://thebabyexpert.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
October 31, 2014. Oops, We Did It Again. After waiting for the green light from the wife and because I’ve just been too busy/lazy to write a post, I can finally announce that we do indeed have a bun baking in the oven! But on the flipside, we’re having a baby! Only time will tell. As of this moment, the sex of the baby is still a mystery. Ask me the first time, and I'll tell you that I'll be happy with a boy or a girl as long as it’s healthy. But prod me a bit further, and I’ll admit ...If I, whom the wi...

The Baby Expert: Safe and Sound
http://thebabyexpert.blogspot.com/2015/06/safe-and-sound.html
June 15, 2015. Little Hannah Piper is still alive and kicking! The surgery was a success. While the doctor was not able to widen her valve completely, he did enough to minimize her condition so that it really shouldn’t present much of a problem in the future. Just need check-ups every now and then to make sure it doesn’t start thickening again. And the cost of surgery and two nights stay in the hospital? 90 freaking U.S. dollars! The Baby Expert: April 2014
http://thebabyexpert.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
April 29, 2014. This concerned the wife a bit, though by no means did it take her by surprise. It's not like this is the first time we've heard of such things from Caitlyn's teacher. Our child does lean more towards the shy, timid side. However, that doesn’t mean it’s OK to be taken advantage of or perhaps bullied, in the future. Did my act of kindness move his heart?
