Students have been completing readings and activities from the bible about The Feast of Epiphany. The passages we have focused on are The Visitors From the East, Baptism of Jesus, and The Wedding at Cana. Students are finding important details in text to complete a summary. Monday, 12 October 2015. October News Gr. 5. Students have been working hard this past month in Grade 5. In reading, we have been practicing the use of Fix-Up Strategies. In writing, students are completing their biographies. We did an inquiry on Terry Fox and had great discussions using our accountable talk anchor chart. We completed tasks on patterning in math. This month we will be. Students will be starting to generate ideas on descriptive writing topics with the focus on cause and effect text pattern.
