Thursday, 24 March 2016. Another busy 2 weeks Week 7 and 8. We have been swimming every afternoon this week and also completing some Easter activites. Its been great watching students become more confident in the pool and trying new things. We also discussed the two flag options and had our own flag referendum. We had our own voting papers and when we counted up the votes, 20 people wanted to keep the present flag and 4 wanted change. We wonder if our results will be the same as the real vote.

Thursday, 15 May 2014. This week has been Book Week and our challenge this year was to create a video around a book. We chose the book Press Here. And had a lot of fun making it. We were very lucky to have Byron and Sophie come and help us put it together and we really appreciated their help. We also wrote short books to share with Room 5 and dressed up wackily on Wednesday. Thursday, 14 August 2014. The time has whizzed by and we have been very busy since our last post. This term we have had a very successful Commonwealth Games and heard lots of interesting speeches. Congratulations to Corianna, Reagan and Will who sat the speech board exams and did very well. This week is Maths week and Syndicate 2 had a maths morning. Tuesday, 23 September 2014. Cash book template and poetry roster for Term 4 Main Star Awards. Last term all the children presented and were audiences for a variety of great speeches. They were also entertained by some of the children who did the oral assessment exam with a poem which they learnt then added in appropriate actions. Friday, 26 February 2016. Our Camp at Lake Moana. On Monday, Room 7 went on camp to Moana. The first thing we did was walk to the beach on the other side of the swing bridge and make some rafts. Our rafts were made of ice block sticks and they all floated. After testing our rafts we did a bush walk and found out that some trees were used for medicines, eating, dyeing cloaks, mats and houses. We came back from the lake and Aime had cooked the scones so we had them with the butter we made and jam. YUM!
