Here we are waiting to go through security to see the Pope. And here's one of about a million pictures we took of Pope Benedict. Thursday, November 29, 2007. What an exciting end to my evening to find a message from my class! I asked today whether or not there is the famous statue of St. Francis and the wolf in A. Ssisi, and I learned that the event actually occurred in Gubbio, which is a town nearby. At are apparently filled with sunflowers during the spring. Sunday, November 27, 2011. First Sunday of Advent. The kids are getting things that I think they'll love, rather than just trying to fill the space under the tree. I'm also really excited about Tony's gifts.but I'm not telling! After lunch, we went to Mount St. Francis for a Secular Franciscan meeting. It fell right during naptime, and of course Sophie fell asleep on the way home. In an unusual twist, she actually stayed asleep when we carried her in. It must have been a long weekend! Sophie has been determined since December that she was going to make a car and it would be a pig. That's all she's said for several months. "When will we paint my piggy car? Sunday, January 29, 2012. Sophie's birthday and other odds and ends. Today started Biddy Ball at St. Anthony. Thankfully, the first and second grade play together so we have respite, at least for one season. Andrew, Aidan, and Hunter are all on the same team. Andrew was excited that they started with a jump ball. And, being the Shaq of the second grade, he got to jump for it. Aidan was just excited to find that his wrist band matched his buddy's on the other team, meaning they got to guard each other.
