February 11, 2016. Had a bit of fun making a new word wall for my maths classroom using some very easy iPad apps. We used Typorama, Photofunia and Moldiv (to edit). If you’ve not looked at them then give them a try, they are all free. Lesson 2 of the flip. January 28, 2016. January 28, 2016. An equal amount of time was spent on putting together the materials then recording, and re-recording the presentation and coming up with inspiring, practical activities. This time it was better, we are now down to 4 students didn’t watch it and 3 more who say they watched it but didn’t take noteshmm. So many didn’t have notes and therefore, were reliant on their group members who did have, to explain to them. Lesson 1 of the flip. January 28, 2016.

Lesson 4 of the flip. February 9, 2016. February 9, 2016. I’ve got more used to the app too and am learning some useful tricks to keep a smoother sounding pace, as well as import pictures to use alongside my written explanation. It also does maths type, which I haven’t tried out yet, but maybe next time. That’s the end of the process now. Personally I found this short animation much more attractive and impressive than a formal interview with a scholar who elaborates with sophisticated educational jargon (though it is true that the information provided in the animation is apparently not enough for further understanding and practicing FCM in real teaching).
