Well, not really. It would be pretty arrogant of me to think that I knew more about cooking than the average person. But I have been incensed by new cooking trends , packaged spice mixes, and a lot of shows on the food network. I've got a lot of unanswered questions: Like what kind of drugs is Martha Stewart on, and how can I get them? Why do we pay $1.25 for an ounce of seasoning mix when all we require is already in our cupboard? And speaking of seasoning mixes, what is all that stuff that's in there?

Well, it's Lent again. Since I've developed a penchant for beating myself up, I've eschewed the traditional Lenten sacrifices like sweets. This year it's meat. The Linux Distribution Report. About once a year or so I get a ten pack of Linux distributions from , Linux Mall. And attempt to install and evaluate each. And every year I do the same work-arounds. To get half of these pigs to work. Well this year it's different. In 2001 there should be. No reason for a current Linux distribution to fail an installation on the target computer. There is now a wealth of hardware data available for any Linux distribution to work. I was to be proven wrong. Worth a damn ).

By default, while sound support is enabled, the Sound Blaster Live support is disabled in the kernel. Since the SB Live is one of the most popular sound devices, this is really wrong.
