Elaine Mary Phillips: About EMP
http://elainemaryphillips.blogspot.com/p/about-emp.html
I was reluctant to write a standard bio, so I offer these 40 random facts about me instead:. This website has been a long time coming! I am technically challenged and rely on other people to help me enter (end exit) cyber-space. Special thanks to my web designer, Evelyn, at Willowrose Webdesign. If I could have chosen, I’d live in a world of pre-technology (yes, even if that meant draughty huts, wood fires and no hot running water). I succumbed to Facebook only after the 32. Has become my home. I have al...

Elaine Mary Phillips: Labour Day long weekend
http://elainemaryphillips.blogspot.com/2011/09/labour-day-long-weekend.html
Labour Day long weekend. Tomorrow Sir Robin (my faithful co-instructor) and I will go camping with friends in a neighbouring province; he is sweetly sleeping while I pack and prepare for yet another long road trip this season. I've lost count of how many miles we've tracked since the end of May, when we headed west for Vancouver, the Island, and home again via Kamloops. I also met another of my pen pals in person: see next week's Pear Tree post. Happy Labour Day weekend, wherever you spend it. Join me as...

Elaine Mary Phillips: FMC
http://elainemaryphillips.blogspot.com/p/emph-attic.html
Friends, Moments, Countryside. In honour of Peter Gzowski. Or years I have toyed with the idea of using Mr. Gzowski’s title somewhere in my own writings—these particular section titles (humorously adapted from Shakespeare’s “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears” in Julius Caesar’s act III, scene II) have helped shape my current anthology of letters; I was an ardent fan of Gzowski’s monthly. With no further ado, then, see my new blog: http:/ friendsmomentscountryside.blogspot.com/. Mark JH Klass...

Friends, Moments, Countryside". Since this EMP dot com website is primarily a place to share my writing (and yes, I shall write again: frequently and with joyful abandon) and not a place to post endless snapshots of our summer holidays, I have set up a separate blog for readers who wish to flip through our Phillips family photo albums. Friends, Moments, Countryside": http:/ friendsmomentscountryside.blogspot.com/. Please drop me a line about your special friends, treasured moments and beloved countryside.

Elaine Mary Phillips: Unpublished
http://elainemaryphillips.blogspot.com/p/work-in-progress.html
Here’s my catalogue of unpublished writings. Last year my writing partner asked me to share a memory of Christmas for her blog. Merrily my thoughts scurried across the Pond to magical Prague, city of 100 spires. Ginger and Auld Lace. Was the result of that trip down memory lane. GINGER AND AULD LACE. Czech Christmas in the City of 100 Spires. Cheery Czech greetings to you, dear reader, on this wintry day. Just before supper, we opened the door of Na Výsluní 22 to our motley crew, red-cheeked and cheery&#...

Writing to Realize: Longing and Calling
http://writingtorealize.blogspot.com/2010/08/longing-and-calling.html
Thoughts on Theology, Ministry, and the Arts. Monday, August 2, 2010. 8221; I wonder how much I let myself be quieted by others and stop calling out to Jesus. It’s probably more that I shut myself up; self-censoring. I need to keep calling out to Jesus to (at the very least! Have mercy on me and my blindness. Bartimaeus was ready with a specific answer for Jesus when He asked, “What do you want me to do for you? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Redmond, Washington, United States. Links to Check Out!

Writing to Realize: Where Have I Been?
http://writingtorealize.blogspot.com/2010/02/where-have-i-been.html
Thoughts on Theology, Ministry, and the Arts. Saturday, February 20, 2010. Where Have I Been? 8220;Thoughts on Theology, Ministry, and the Arts.”. I’m finding that’s a taller order than it seems! But I’m not giving up on it. I haven’t written in a while because I haven’t known what to write. It seems like. Has taken up a lot of my time and thoughts—but isn’t that what theology and ministry is about? These are the times that test us (. So how does one think theologically? What has he already started here?
