ok korea: April 2013

We rented bikes and rode them across the Golden Gate Bridge. A touristy thing? As we continued biking, I looked up at the beautiful details on the bridge, to my eye very Art Deco or maybe Art Nouveau and I kept thinking of that scene in The Neverending Story where the protagonist must cross a gate and the Sphinxes slowly open their killer-beam eyes. If you visit the National Museum of the Philippines, beware that there probably won't be any toilet paper. However, you will find this painting. Posted: Thursday, August 21, 2014. Posted: Friday, September 30, 2011. Posted: Wednesday, September 28, 2011. I Love The RailPath. The RailPath is one of my favourite parts of Toronto these days. It's an asphalt path for pedestrian and bicycle use. (No cars! You can guess why I like it so much.) It allows me to score some wicked diagonal and is just the best to zoom down on a bike. There is graffiti all along, but an especially dramatic cluster adorns the concrete overpass at its southeast end. Posted: Monday, September 26, 2011.

Posted: Friday, February 10, 2012. I visited India for 3 weeks in January, and while I do want to write many things and share many pictures from that trip, for now let me just say it was an amazing experience. What draws me in the most is the woman's veiled face. Did she cover herself because I was taking the picture? Did I catch her in the middle of a readjustment? Is her expression a response to me and my camera? The glare of the sun? Posted: Tuesday, February 07, 2012. I point to shoot.

More photos from old, bustling Jaipur. Posted: Wednesday, June 27, 2012. After seeing the Taj Mahal and surroundings in Agra, I took a late train to Jaipur, the Pink City and capital of Rajasthan. I encountered this a short walk from my hostel. I was nervous but couldn't pass up the opportunity to have my face shaved by someone else, a first for me, in India and streetside no less. Baby smooth, mentholated, and chewing on a bit of paan, I felt supremely ready to explore the Pink City. Tags: hey whats this.

Dude in South Korea: Raaaandom text messages
http://tfsk.blogspot.com/2010/08/raaaandom-text-messages.html
Dude in South Korea. So many blogs about expats teaching in Korea are just about kim chi festivals, vacationing to Thailand, and awkward cultural differences. Nobody wants to read about that shit. There's much more to this country than kim chi. Aug 4, 2010. My old co-worker keeps sending me odd text messages:. Lying on the grass with chatting the clear sky n the droning of the cicade! Ru enjoying your break? This girl needs to put the SAT vocabulary-prep book down. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
