Spring is the Time for Flowers. Echiums @ My Garden Treasures. Blue Echiums make a stunning show in the garden. The blue-grey leaves of the hardy echium plant are no longer the main attraction once the magnificent spires of its flowers start to develop. Within weeks they have grown to the stately length of 50 or 60cms and opened to a burst of brilliant blue. They attract the honey eaters . We have a constant supply of birdlife visiting our garden. Whenever I upload a painting, people show their appreciation more so than for other subjects. Interesting. This tells me that people appreciate art. Welcome to my garden. A beautiful blossom of Mary Rose, my first rose in this garden. Are one of my favourite things and I love to have lots in my garden all year round. Help to keep my garden healthy by keeping the insects down and scratching out the weed seeds as they germinate. August 8, 2015. Thinning out the daisies very slowly has now paid off and the grasses have started to grow. We also have a lovely display of poppies and cornflowers. It looks lovely but I have to be careful weeding out the daisies as it is covered with bees. July 25, 2015.
