Audrey's Adventures: 7/1/12 - 8/1/12
http://motherhoodconfidential.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 14, 2012. Audrey went on her first horse ride today . with her Mama, of course. She was a little scared a second or two after she was placed in front of me. She realized where she was and cried out. But I explained to her that she was on a horse (a HORSE, child! That goes clip clop and neighs and stomps. I must have gotten through to her and reminded her of her love for horses (a recent development), as she became pretty pleased and stayed on for the whole ride. Yay! Telling her to turn :P.

Thursday, February 21, 2013. This she composed while I putting her down for her nap. It had already been a good hour and she was still not asleep (GRR! But I had dosed off for a small bit, and woke up to this sweet song:. A-bei doe (go) on airpiane high in de tye (high in the sky)". See Yeiya (Valeria, her cousin).". Doe on airpiane high in de tye". Dets doe (let's go)! Well, we need to buy tickets to take a plane.". And to buy tickets you need a lot of money.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Offlin...

Audrey's Adventures: 2/1/13 - 3/1/13
http://motherhoodconfidential.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 21, 2013. Audrey just came up to me and said:. Mama, A-bei say xie xie on bus.". She always hears everyone say xie xie (thank you) on the bus, so she's learned that word, BUT she only says it on the bus. The other day a lady gave her a candy, and I asked her to say "xie xie," to which she said, "No, on bus.". One thing she does understand:. A-bei wa (one) year old. A-bei two, hab (have) tititole (tricycle).". Thailand, Part 2. And the food is good! We couldn't keep her in the room.

Audrey's Adventures: Thailand, Part 2
http://motherhoodconfidential.blogspot.com/2013/02/thailand-part-2.html
Thursday, February 21, 2013. Thailand, Part 2. This post will be just pictures, with a few "stories" here and there. There would have been much more to write about, as Sam and I really enjoyed our time there (even though Audrey did get sick). It's just been a while, and I will have to sit and recall exactly how I wanted to say things, which will end up sounding funny, imo. And the food is good! On a walk. She woke up with a fever on this morning, but. We couldn't keep her in the room. Ellie (which is wha...

Saturday, April 28, 2012. The other evening I was over at my family's place. Valeria was getting ready for bed. For that week, tradition was that after she got ready for bed, she would put on her princess "jewelry" and be a princess. Yook, auntie Soni! I'm a princess.". Yes, a very pretty princess.". I put on my princess shoes.". They are very nice! The conversation went a bit like that. I always a princess! It looks like she's giving a reasonable and generous. Speech to her court. Oh, and look at that!

Audrey's Adventures: Hello, We're in Thailand (older post)
http://motherhoodconfidential.blogspot.com/2013/02/hello-were-in-thailand-older-post.html
Sunday, February 17, 2013. Hello, We're in Thailand (older post). We will be here for a week, enjoying the beautiful River Kwai. We're with Ari, Mike, and family. It's the first day and so far we’re really enjoying it. Here is how our proposed 15 hour journey turned into almost 30:. Boarding late already, we find ourselves seated a good 40 minutes before we take off. It took people, imo, much longer than usual to find their seats. But that wasn't the issue. It took the airline, like forever. The Felix Re...

Audrey's Adventures: 10/1/12 - 11/1/12
http://motherhoodconfidential.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 28, 2012. This is the second time Audrey and I have gone to the zoo here in Germany. The first time we visited was over 1 year ago when Audrey was 5 months. This year, she's 1 1/2 and Joykie's second boy, Erik, is 5 months. This time around, Audrey enjoyed the zoo so much more, especially with a friend like Kai. There were a lot of fun moments (even though it was pretty cold, although I think a few degrees higher than we expected). At the station waiting for our train. Ready, set, go!

Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Audrey loves any object that can spin. I think this is why she loves Baby Einstein so much- they have a lot of that going on. When she sees something spin, she will move her hand around and say, "Ahhhh." We have no idea why. She also makes this sound for lights. She's always been fascinated by lights, and will point out every light or light fixture in a room. We finally caught her on film laughing and making her standard sound for when we spin the balls for her. Nowadays, it's s...
