Tuesday, January 13, 2015. The recent inversion event has left a widespread think crust in almost all alpine areas and even reached the highest peaks. Finding decent shred-able snow has become nearly impossible in southwest BC for the time being at least. In times like this it's best to pack up the sled with plenty of beer and head over the Hurley to the mountain town of Bralorne. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Down Down and Towards Whistler. There's a special alpine ride in the Sea to Sky Corridor near Whistler we've had the privilege of riding over the years. Only a select group of riders have had their hands on this well guarded piece of alpine single-track gold. That will all change shortly with a super cool WORCA project. That is well underway. Thursday, May 22, 2014. Habrich Ridge line huntin. April 12 Mike and Ross joined me to discover what Squamish's new gondola was going to offer us with sliding tools. The Sea to Sky Gondola was still one month away from opening day so we had the place to ourselves. This place will see a lot of people very soon! I hadn't had a good bleed in a while so I decided to injure myself. Killer views of our community. And my house on the Squamish River. The Squamish River valley is a pretty special place.

Monday, November 24, 2014. There's always a balance of early season access to "skiable" snow but on this day we managed to get the truck to 1260 meters! I've decided that Juneau likes face shots more than any skier / boarder I've ever met. The moment we opened the truck door she escaped into the deep. The coolest thing about this zone is we can see it from our house! It was a better than expected legitimate first day of deep pow! Here we go winter! The trail up to Paul Ridge was snow-covered and icy.

Friday, July 3, 2015. Up Up and Away. It's Canada Day! The temperatures were set to reach a blistering 33 degrees in the Sea to Sky valley so we settled into our 4 hour climb early in the day. Even Canadian forest assess roads have indian paintbrush wildflowers. We reached the subalpine and our views began to open up. I had some fun this Canada day trying to capture the same images I snapped on a Fat Bike ride back in March. Plus 33degC vs Negative 10degC was quite a variance. Mountain Life Summer 2015.
