To be fair to our neighbors, I’ve have worked a few stations in Canada and Mexico, which count as DX entities in my log. And as the crow flies, my QRP contact with a station outside of Reno, Nevada, was a hair more distant than this. But… last night I made my first contact with a non-North American DX entity: Nicaragua! Designed by The Minimalist.

November two november lima yankee. This is the activity and development log for amateur radio station N2NLY. Located in Huntsville, Alabama. CW: 5 QSOs in the log! I’m still building up my station, and have yet to hang a “proper” antenna in the air. However, I’ve thrown a longwire over a few tree branches, and rang up my first CW QSO (that’s “Morse Code contact” for the n00bs) over the weekend! Since then I’ve added four more contacts to the log, all CW. Designed by The Minimalist.

November two november lima yankee. This is the activity and development log for amateur radio station N2NLY. Located in Huntsville, Alabama. Despite its being a long and relatively undernourished day at the Von Braun Center on Saturday, the hamfest was enjoyable. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a lot of time or money to invest in radio interests, making some aspects of the event frustrating – I would. Love to go ahead and buy a nice rig and some accessories! Get a replacement battery pack for my Icom IC-W2A.
