Solo travel in my 30s. Saturday, July 9, 2011. Snow on the mountains! A full two and a half weeks after Treble Cone was set to open, we're still shut. While at first the problem was a complete lack of snow, over the past few days we've been dumped on and there's a healthy 70cm of base on the mountain, 40cm of which fell in the past 24 hours. Solo travel in my 30s. Sunday, May 6, 2012. What I've been up to. I've already been back in Wanaka two months, and time has flown. Amazing how the passage of days, weeks, months, can move so much quicker when you're not miserable. Since being here, I've been mostly in a state of limbo waiting for another work visa to be approved. Luckily, the long-awaited message was delivered two weeks ago and I am now officially employed, and working, at Tangos café on Wanaka's waterfront. Did I slip that in too subtly?

Don't know what telemark is? I'm not surprised. It's hardly mainstream.
