2010-2011: The exchange year of my life. Friday, January 29, 2010. JPN#5] no news means . no news. Well, not really 'no news' actually, 7 (out of 20) thai students got their host family, not me. One of them got to live to Tokyo. That's great. A bit jealous of her though, because i'm not going to be placed in that area anymoe. But anyway, if i get good host family, i won't have to worry about anything. So my host family, if u are reading this (but u probably not), please know that i'm waiting for u.

JPN#3] I'VE GOT THE LETTER! ในที่สุดวันนี้น้ำหวานก็ได้จดหมายนัดหมายประชุมแลกเงิน กับวันเดินทางแล้วค่ะทุกท่าน. เป็นข่าวดีต้อนรับปีใหม่จริงๆ. สรุปคือ น้ำหวานบินเที่ยวบิน UA882 วันที่ 24 มีนา 53 เวลา 6.35 น. ไปลงนาริตะค่ะ. I just got the letter. It's the best day. This letter is supposed to arrive like 5 days ago. Anyway, I got it! So here's the infermation:. My flight to Japan is UA882 on March, 24th 2010 at 6.35 am. Chaing Mai, Thailand.

I found out that I have 2 parents and 2 sisters who live in Fuji-Shi, and I will be attending school at Katoh High School (Junior High School? My AFS Japan experience. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. After a 12 hour flight (super cramped) we finally made it to Tokyo at 4pm. We transfered money, took advantage of the cool vending machines, and talked about our orientations (mine is in Osaka). Afterwards, we got on a bus and came to the Nikko hotel in Tokyo. My AFS Japan experience. Friday, July 9, 2010. It was pretty cool watching floods of high school students in kyudou uniforms walking down the busy street carrying bows, tatami mats, and straw butts used for targets. This is where we sat all day long with all the other high schools. The shooting area was right outside so anyone who wasn't doing a job or shooting just sat around in here. They just throw them up in the air and everyone on the ground scrambles around trying to get as many as possible. It's called a taikukai and what it is is that all of school is split into teams and then everyone competes in various games. In my school's case there were three teams: red, white, and blue.
