Our Family Adventure: The Zoo
http://englishfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2013/05/the-zoo.html
Home is where the Army sends you. This is our life for HIM. We finally made it to the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk. It was a chilly start to the day, but that did not stop us from exploring the animals and gardens. I learned. saw something new! A giraffe sitting down. It was so crazy how many ways their legs, neck and hind-end bend. Hannah loved all the animals, but really loved seeing the black bear up close since she is mommy's "bear" and all. Lillian like everything, but most of all the elephants.

Our Family Adventure: September 2012
http://englishfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Home is where the Army sends you. This is our life for HIM. Today was a rainy, cool fall day. There was little motivation to go outside on the girls' part; who can blame them? First thing this morning Madison and Hannah spent time reading (about an hour each). (Lillian practiced singing her ABCs and naming letters she saw around the house.) After they were so responsible getting reading time in without being told to do so, I rewarded them all with a movie. Reward for the girls? Reward for the girls?

Home is where the Army sends you. This is our life for HIM. I have the best husband EVER! He helps me do Christmas sugar cookies each year he is home! I make the dough a day or two ahead and then when it is time I roll the dough out and he works with the girls cutting out the shapes while I re-roll the dough. (May I say we make a great team? We shared three quarters of the finished product with our friends and of course the guys and gals at the Harley Davidson store two days before Christmas. Our trip wa...

Our Family Adventure: May 2013
http://englishfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Home is where the Army sends you. This is our life for HIM. We took time as a family to visit the Hampton National Cemetery. This was full of Civil War, World War I and II, Korean and Vietnam veterans. We were there just in time for the three gun salute, taps and then amazing grace. Our girls are young, had a lot of questions, but were respectful and paid their thanks to those who have fought for our freedom and safety. just like their daddy. Posted by Our Family Adventure. Home is where the Army sends you. This is our life for HIM. This was the first year all our girls got up on skis. Chad has gotten his dream; all his girls can ski and love to ski. It is now not something that just the two of just do as a couple, but skiing is something we can and will continue to do as a family. Enjoying the sun, snow and fresh air. All three girls ready for ski lessons! Lillian (far left) getting instruction from her teacher. Lillian (left) heading to the top of the mountain. Over MLK w...

Nancy's Travels: April 2007
http://nancystrohm.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
View my complete profile. Tuesday, April 03, 2007. OK, so I’ve heard that I’m straining the limits of friendship with the length of my travelogues. I think I’ve waited long enough to write this travelogue that only the highlights remain in my brain. So hopefully it will be short – relatively speaking. Actually, I waited to write this because I was burned out on editing pictures but, oh well, it makes a good story anyway.). Rented a car and explored the French Riviera. No we did not get into the ocean.
