HERITAGE VILLAGE LIVING HISTORY EXPERIENCE: :. Our 10.5 acre site plays host to fourth and fifth grade students of Texas and Colonial history by providing a structured day-long series of living history experiences that makes learning history a participatory event. This seasonal offering for the months of April and May is by appointment only and is geared for between 60 and 120 students per day at a cost of $5 per child.

In a barn structure adjacent to the house is a Cabinet Shop complete with a collection of antique furniture maker’s tools. A new addition to the Cabinet Shop display is a miniature replica by the late miniature artist James Timmons of the Scholl Cabinet Shop furnished with authentic scale model furniture and tools.

FURNITURE MUSEUM : :. Museum tours also include a brief history of the house and its occupants as it relates to the German immigration to Texas. Prominent local cabinetmakers featured are Johann Jahn, Franz Stautzenberger, and Heinrich Scholl, Jr. Also featured is a large collection of English ironstone, handmade quilts and period accessories.
