Cloth diapers, law books, and 20-sided dice. But enough about me, let’s talk about…me. The one where I pretend there isn’t sewage in my basement. March 14, 2011. Did I mention there is sewage in my basement? Because I am so completely grossed out and, to be honest, dreading finding out exactly what could cause the back-up. This entry was posted in the cohorts of chaos. This is not a homestead. But enough about me, let’s talk about…me. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. On Nom nom nom.

Cloth diapers, law books, and 20-sided dice. Monthly Archives: February 2011. Seeds and other miseries. February 23, 2011. It seems strange to be thinking about gardening with snow (back) on the ground. Be that as it may, we are slowly amassing supplies and I find myself thinking back to the last time I attempted seed-starting and the challenges … Continue reading →. This is not a homestead. Cloth diapers, law books, and 20-sided dice. April 12, 2011. I’m sure there’s stuff going on around here that isn’t related in some way to plants but my mini-garden is such a source of joy that it takes up most of my thoughts these days. The backyard is slowly coming … Continue reading →. This is not a homestead. The one where I pretend there isn’t sewage in my basement. March 14, 2011. The cohorts of chaos. This is not a homestead. Cloth diapers, law books, and 20-sided dice. The one where I pretend there isn’t sewage in my basement. April 12, 2011. We have a couple of herb sprouts, though I forgot to label which pot was which. It’s catnip, basil, parsley or cilantro. The strawberry pots are still bare, but I guess it’s a bit early still. I think perhaps tomorrow I will try moving them outside to see if more access to light helps as I’m not entirely sure our kitchen bench gets enough. This entry was posted in Bees. People always as...

Cloth diapers, law books, and 20-sided dice. Nom nom nom →. February 13, 2011. So while we are waiting for our first batch of seeds to get here (container strawberries, basil and purslane–I’m just anxious to grow purslane, we can’t sow it until after the last frost) we are going to give no poo a try. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Nom nom nom →. February 25, 2011 at 1:57 pm. How are you doing the no-poo? Rinsing with anything or just water? February 25, 2011 at 3:18 pm. Shiny Happy Mama: January 2010
http://shinyhappymama.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
How was your day? Fine What did you do? Friday, January 22, 2010. Recent shiny happiness, in no particular order. Aviva started preschool. It's one of those small, pretentious schools that takes itself very seriously and offers the children organic lunches, music class, and a Mandarin tutor. But, they also seem to have lot of fun and Aviva really likes it there. Plus, it's a five minute walk from my house. I'll take a touch of pretense over a long commute any day. Aviva is in the "why? Aviva has also rea...

Shiny Happy Mama: Spine

How was your day? Fine What did you do? Saturday, September 15, 2012. It's amazing to me how instantaneously life can change. Mere seconds can alter the course of months, years, perspectives, emotions. A year ago today, I was at work, happily listening to the kids play and tackling a mountain of administrative redundancies. Around noon, the phone rang. Recognizing the number on the caller ID as Michael's, I grabbed it. "Hey babe! Despite the good news, we still had to stay until the doctors were sure tha...
