If my mind's a weapon, my heart's the extra clip: Hermeneutics and sex

If my mind's a weapon, my heart's the extra clip. Welcome to whatever the heck I feel like saying. Saturday, March 17, 2007. He believed that credit is not something that should be extended only to the rich. So he founded a bank in Bangladesh, and loaned extremely small amounts of money to more than 2 million poverty stricken people from Bangladesh. Not only have these loans changed the face of Bangladesh, but repayment rates are almost 100 percent. My friend and I have been talking about participating i...

If my mind's a weapon, my heart's the extra clip: Peeing on Fire Hydrants

If my mind's a weapon, my heart's the extra clip. Welcome to whatever the heck I feel like saying. Wednesday, January 10, 2007. Peeing on Fire Hydrants. That bothered me. Really bothered me. But why would anyone try to deny that to anyone who isn't a "Christian"? Why do we want to claim ownership? Why would we aggressively deny someone else an opportunity? Why do we think it is a good thing to attack a group of people we are culturally uncomfortable with in the name of God? Posted by oneweekend at 1:06 AM.

Saturday, July 22, 2006. As I write this post I am sitting in a hotel room in Weathorford, OK. That's right Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plain. This week is my favorite week of the whole summer, WEST BRANCH! If you like needing to vomit and never want to eat processed food again read the jungle. It will make a vegetarian out of the biggest carnivores. Tomorrow I will probably get to ride in the truck. YEAH. We have an XBox in the truck! Posted by Jeremy at 8:33 PM. A Hobos Life For Me.

There and back again. Sometimes boring, sometimes interesting, always me. Monday, May 28, 2007. That is not holy and pure should not be allowed in a Christian's life. Any movie, song, book, or magazine that has the tiniest amount of impurity in it has no place in a Christian's life. I'm not being intolerant; I'm not trying to hurt feelings; I'm just saying what most Christians know but don't apply to their lives. 1 Peter 1:16- As it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Cor 6:19, 20- What? 8220;My God...

There and back again. Sometimes boring, sometimes interesting, always me. Thursday, July 03, 2008. A wretch I am. Who will deliver me? Held down by sin, I can't do what I would. Sin draws and lures and plucks me from what good. I yearn to do. Who will deliver me? Foul scum and brute I am. Deliver me! Please make me pure and clean," I cry agood. But still, the law, my sin has long withstood. Oh wretch I am, who will deliver me? I thank my God through Jesus Christ my Lord. For He it is who has deliver'd me.

I wanted to think. When I posted on my blog, someone commented and said, "This is about your response to life." That hit me. I wanted to analyze this. I wanted to be careful, and to be honest. I want to respond to you the way I want to respond to life. The easy answer would be to condemn your actions carte blanche. T...
