On Saturday I went to the William Marshal Tourney, out in Alphington. Its an SCA event, focussing on melee fighting. Ive got some more photos on my picasa account, if you want to see more. Well, fuck - Cumber. March 7th, 2008. 02:28 pm - Well, fuck. I was supposed to be in classes this morning, but my manager told me yesterday that there was an important meeting at work at 9:30, and I had to be there. Turns out the important meeting was the closing down of the Melbourne office. And the downside to my so-far fantastic employment arrangement finally comes up: being on a contract, I don't get any form of redundancy payout. Anyone need a part-time Python or C programmer? That really sucks :-(.

90 degrees from reality. Ive made a New Financial Year Resolution - To stop running away from social encounters. In the vein of online self-improvement Ive joined the Epic Quest Game, and set myself targets for professional skills development - got at least 4 places to apply to this weekend. Ive also helped a friend with his cover letter and he has linked me to some jobs, so teamwork there. Lots of little goals, building towards becoming someone I want to be.
