Me, Myself, Irene. Thursday, April 30, 2009. Sharing Joys and Concerns. I have to share the sweet sweet story of one of my third graders today. So, every week in worship, we have a time where we share our joys and concerns and then we pray together. The younger kids especially love this time. Anyway, I told her that I'd definitely be praying and thanks for letting me know. She wrote, "Thanks Pastor Irene! So how are you? Do you have any joys or concerns? Me, Myself, Irene. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. I can't believe it's already the third week of June! This group of lovely youth and I will be headed out this Saturday, June 20-27th to Wind River, Wyoming on a youth mission trip with YouthWorks to a Native American Reservation to be in service for a week. We know that we will be working to repair homes, do yard work, etc. and work with their kids program they have going there. Keep us in your prayers! Anyway, it'll be a while before I update again! Monday, August 27, 2007. Things I Learned this Summer. 1) I really like living in my hometown. 2) Therapeutic lying is a riot. 3) My CPE supervisor thinks I'm "enigmatic.". 4) That said, I'm still really bad at anything that requires hiding what I think or feel. 5) The ordination exams aren't nearly as intimidating as I had feared. 6) My Preparation Committee knows me better than I think they did. 7) As much as I talk about the need to "preach prophetically," it scares the bejeezus out of me when I do it.
