http://africanjacksons.blogspot.com/2014/07/gardening-and-sweet-potatoes.html
The Jackson Family in Uganda. Saturday, July 12, 2014. Gardening and Sweet Potatoes. Also, since we can plant anytime, we dug the potatoes, cut the stems, and replanted them in another area of our garden, all in the same day. We have tried all kinds of sweet potato recipes fr. Om soups to breads to breakfast casseroles, and sometimes it does not even seem like we have made a dent in the pile in our storeroom! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Books We've Read Recently. Below are some of the pictures from their time with us. Drawing on the floor.or is it on the chair? Fun at the beach. Making zwieback with Grammy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Day 1.2 | Walking About
https://rhettpierce.wordpress.com/2010/02/11/day-1-2
Rhett's wanderings and wonderings. If you haven’t read the previous post, this one will not make much sense so I’d suggest scrolling down and taking a few minutes…ah, there you go. Thought so. But I forgave him. (Editor’s note; Andrew graciously forgave Rhett’s idiocy). I like to think of myself as cool under pressure but in this moment I’ll admit (because if I didn’t, Andrew would probably tell everyone anyway) that I froze. Froze up bad. All I could do was yell out “Bollom! I’d never been so than...

January | 2010 | Walking About
https://rhettpierce.wordpress.com/2010/01
Rhett's wanderings and wonderings. I’ve finally sifted through the hate mail I’ve received over the past two weeks due to a grand total of zero new blogs being posted and let me tell you, it ain’t pretty. Planes and an Ice Storm. Joy. G’day Australia. Howdy Oklahoma. Comments : 1 Comment. I like to set goals. Some fun, some not so fun. Some almost effortless, others quite arduous. I reach some, I miss some. 8230; Oh, you’d like examples? 8230;Ok, ok. I also set a goal to visit all 50 states – IR...

A good man. | Walking About
https://rhettpierce.wordpress.com/2010/03/09/a-good-man
Rhett's wanderings and wonderings. I remember thinking, “I’m gonna do that someday,” when he talked about hopping trains as a teenager to travel around the country. If my memory serves me correctly he jumped off a watertower onto the train but I’m also aware this morsel of the story may be my imagination serving me incorrectly. Either way though – I wanted badly to live this out. 8221; is the line that stands out. Pure genius. I remember extremely vividly my family’s visits to Holt’s Guest Ra...I remembe...

Momstar | Walking About
https://rhettpierce.wordpress.com/2011/05/09/momstar
Rhett's wanderings and wonderings. I, as possibly the roughest of the roughlings, was chosen (by myself) to attempt to document instances of this molding – timeline style. July 12th, 1979; She birthed me, named me, fed me, and didn’t (to family knowledge) drop me all in the same day. 8221; This is the day I began wearing my signature t-shirt (masculine colors only) and ballcap. She lovingly enrolled me in speech therapy where I remember doing activities like touching my tongue to my nose. This not on...

Day 1; The Town Too Tough to Die & The Boys Who Tried Their Darndest | Walking About
https://rhettpierce.wordpress.com/2010/02/05/day-1-the-town-too-tough-to-die-the-boys-who-tried-their-darndest
Rhett's wanderings and wonderings. Day 1; The Town Too Tough to Die and The Boys Who Tried Their Darndest. And here begins the recalling of my final week in Australia…. You’re the one bloke who doesn’t know about Kinglake? The Great Australian Gazetteer suggested the town of Kinglake; not for the national forest, or for the multiple campsites, or for the great overlooks, or for the scenic drive into Melbourne. What did it say we should make a sidetrip to go see? What are you pointing at man? This stinks&...
