Our Year in London! Asymp; 1 Comment. Jay finished his project and we were off to a holiday in Mykonos! Mykonos is a Cycladic Greek island on the Aegean Sea. The island is 33 square miles and has a little over 10,000 residents. We took the first flight out of the day from Athens and in a short 35 minutes we touched down in Mykonos. To continue or Bank Holiday/Memorial Day weekend fun, we started Sunday off with a pub lunch at The Ladbroke Arms. In Notting Hill. It had a beautiful floral exterior and a warm and inviting interior. We continued our day of fun by getting a drink at the Aqua Shard. Restaurant at the Shard – the tallest building in the EU! Our Year in London! Asymp; Leave a comment. Our time in Athens is nearing its end but we were told about supposedly the best baklava in all of town. Although often baklava is synonymous with Greece, it actually originated in Turkey. It is a sweet pastry made out of many layers of filo dough and is typically filled with chopped nuts and some type of sweet syrup or honey. As I was sitting in awful DC traffic today and my phone reminded me that I only had about 30 minutes left of battery life I realized how dependent I am on technology. I don’t know if it’s because Nick and I have lived in an area with 192 people but I am terrified of being around other drivers on major highways now. Or maybe it’s me getting older? Every day, morning and night, we have to feed and water all of the animals. That's 6 different types of animal, 5 different types of food and 8 different bowls to fill. And I dunno if you've tried picking up a 5 gallon bucket lately, but they are heavy. So all and any water either comes from rain or the house.
