Keeping an eye on Hitchin. Rhythms Of The World – sound limit petition. Rhythms of the World. ROTW) is Hitchin’s annual world music festival. For many years it was held on various stages in the town centre, but by 2008 it had become so successful that it became necessary to find a new venue. It is now held close by in the grounds of Hitchin Priory, thanks to the generous support of the Chartridge Conference Company. Last year 31,000 people attended. It is interesting now to see how the actual results in North Hertfordshire compared with those expected by applying my “best estimate” transition matrix and what we can surmise from this.
