Betty & Myrtle: birthing something new
http://alyssalance.blogspot.com/2011/01/birthing-something-new.html
Saturday, January 29, 2011. I want to know you. Let your spirit overwhelm me. Let your presence overtake my heart. That has been my mantra lately. This is the new season I am entering, a longing to know God in a deeper, more intimate way. We had a women's worship night last night. It was so awesome, God's presence was so thick in that room, and there was so much anticipation and expectancy for God to come to be there with us, to move. I feel like I have been waiting for so long for this. CA, United States.

Betty & Myrtle: Haircuts
http://alyssalance.blogspot.com/2011/03/haircuts.html
Friday, March 18, 2011. This post is late, but that is how I roll. So about a month or so ago all the kids got haircuts. Some were planned, some were not. I wanted to cut the boys hair and then one night something happened that forced me to get all the kids hair cut! I went out to dinner with some girl friends, in the middle of laughing and throwing peanut shells on the ground I got a text from Dan, it included the picture of Sofia crying and a handful of cut hair. Betty & Myrtle: now and then
http://alyssalance.blogspot.com/2011/05/now-and-then.html
Saturday, May 28, 2011. Twelve years ago today I got married! Sometimes it feels so long ago and then sometimes I remember the smallest detail of that day. Like waiting to go down the aisle and my dad and I just looking at each other tears starting to emerge because there is so much joy and some saddness at him loosing his baby. I remember being so nervous I said to Chove and cherish instead of love and cherish! Such a great day! He looks so great in the recent picture! May 28, 2011 at 11:29 PM. Just ano...

Betty & Myrtle: projects
http://alyssalance.blogspot.com/2010/05/projects.html
Sunday, May 9, 2010. The Lances have been busy doing some projects lately! We have been slowly working on our backyard which up until this last month has been a mess of weeds! But we pulled the weeds, leveled the dirt, moved the dirt, added good dirt, and behold we have landscaping! My parents came one weekend and worked like crazy helping us! Also decided to surprise Dan and make him a fire pit with pavers around it. Worked on it while he was out of town. Believe me I won't do that again! I seriously ca...

A chronicle of the Lord's work in me and in Kapsowar, Kenya. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Another Birthday in Kapsowar. Laura also made a chocolate cake, which was, like all of her cakes, scrumptious. Last night, despite several power outages, everyone came over and we enjoyed watching "National Treasure" on the big screen at my house. It was a wonderful birthday and I feel so blessed to have the community I do here. My birthday sign from the Jones. My yummy birthday cake. Saturday, October 23, 2010.

http://drchristina.blogspot.com/2011/06/good-day.html
A chronicle of the Lord's work in me and in Kapsowar, Kenya. Saturday, June 11, 2011. Yesterday was a good day. Sometimes it feels like I see so much heartache that when I have a day like yesterday, it is very refreshing and makes me remember why I love being here and serving the women of this community. See pic below) and delivered a healthy baby boy. He required some resuscitation, but is now doing wonderfully! Scott and Emily's Blog. June 11, 2011 at 11:48 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
