A Day in The Life Of...: January 2011
http://insertwittycomment.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
A Day in The Life Of. Thursday, January 20, 2011. Clean Slate of Sorts. 2011 Word of the Year: Patience. I will hopefully breathe deep when working out 3x a week and not seeing the results I want and try to remember that everyone is different and those skinny b@#! Out there just have good genes. I will take time to myself to read and meditate in whatever way is comfortable to me. I do not intend to sit in a position and say "ohm" but I intend to be still at times other than sleeping. I choose to be happy.

Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes...: July 2012
http://mountainsandoceans.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes. There and back again. Sunday, 22 July 2012. Quick trip to Vancouver. I'd been meaning to get over to Vancouver to visit my friends Ryan and Darya and their new baby since I first met her in the hospital last month and Brynn and I decided to just up and go last weekend. We woke up at 7:40, so I figured, no problem to make the 9 am ferry, so off we went. Of course, when she did, Brynn didn't really want to give her back. Posted by Our Family. Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes...: Summer Fun
http://mountainsandoceans.blogspot.com/2012/09/summer-fun.html
Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes. There and back again. Wednesday, 5 September 2012. Brynn and I have been trying to get out to enjoy summer before it ran away and I think we managed to squeak a few more adventures in before it summer retreated until next year. It's not that the sun has gone away, but the air seems to have a chill in it now and the leaves are starting to turn already. Anyway, on to our adventures. In case I haven't said it lately, thanks mom and dad. Posted by Our Family. Parenting alone ...

Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes...: Weddings, weapons and no more wheels.
http://mountainsandoceans.blogspot.com/2013/08/weddings-weapons-and-no-more-wheels.html
Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes. There and back again. Saturday, 31 August 2013. Weddings, weapons and no more wheels. The past month was a time for weddings, family visits, and learning new things. Mike's younger brother Brad was married up island. And then his dad was married down by the water near my place. It was also an introduction to family she had never met, and reintroductions to others, as everyone came from around the world for the celebrations. I went for a walk a couple of hours in one direc...

A Day in The Life Of...: December 2008
http://insertwittycomment.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
A Day in The Life Of. Monday, December 22, 2008. Have you ever noticed the way society talks about death or someone who has died. Obituaries do not state that John Doe died on such and such date; they say he passed on or is deceased. The best I have heard though is ‘expired’. I can't help but think “are we now like food that passes it’s expiration date? 8221; I feel somehow this takes away from the beauty found in death and the reality in death. Yes, I did say beauty. A Day in The Life Of...: April 2008

A Day in The Life Of. Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Listening To Music While Driving. Does anyone else have a problem with someone listening to their iPod while driving their vehicle? Thursday, April 03, 2008. March 29, 2008 marked a international event: Earth Hour. When I first heard this I thought "what a fantastic idea! Little did I know at the time how ridiculous it really is. I thought this for a few different reasons. All for the low price of 169$! Third: the city announced they too were turning off n...

Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes...: July 2013
http://mountainsandoceans.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes. There and back again. Sunday, 14 July 2013. And of course, once again, time has flown. The fun part about updating this only every few months is it always looks like we've been super busy. :). We have been having fun though. This year Mike managed to make it out to one of the fairs with us, which is great for a number of reasons. In particular for me because now that Brynn is a bit older it means we get to take turns taking her on the flippy, twirly, spinney rides. I've a...

Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes...: May 2012
http://mountainsandoceans.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes. There and back again. Saturday, 26 May 2012. A Kayaking We Will Go. Spring has sprung aka we have had some really nice weather in Victoria over the past few weeks and dad decided to take Mom and I for a little kayak in the Gorge. This, of course, required a kayak with a special seat just for me.. We got to see the seals sleeping. All that paddling was hard work though, so on the way back I had to have a little nap. So many interesting things around a kayak dock. Gymnasti...

Mountains, Oceans and Volcanoes. There and back again. Thursday, 13 December 2012. I can't believe I actually didn't post for almost 3 months. Time just flies. Now on to what Brynn and I have been up to together for the past couple of months. I think a round of photos is in order, although it will definitely take more than one post to play catch up! Yeah, that's right. these are my. Mini donuts. don't even think about it. That's all for now, time for some rest. I will try to have the second fall upda...

A Day in The Life Of...: October 2011
http://insertwittycomment.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
A Day in The Life Of. Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Just over a year ago I had a baby. I still sit on the couch sometimes watching my son and think "holy crap, I have a baby! It is still surreal to me. I have been blessed with such a good baby. He slept 12 hrs at about 3 months. There really isn't anything he doesn't eat. He wakes up happy. More and more he seems like his dad. this gives you some indication of how long I sleep for, what I eat and how I wake up. You hit them for crying and guess what?
