¿Como se dice...?: Cacti & Pines
http://joilet.blogspot.com/2007/03/cactus-pines.html
10 months in Mexico, and now 18 in China. Friday, March 09, 2007. The hills gradually got bigger and bigger until we were in some of the curviest roads we’ve ever seen, and Nik, Mr. Motorcycle man has found LOTS of curvy mountain roads. We were absolutely floored by the sights, stopping nearly every 15 minutes to get one more picture. And of course, we had to get pictures of the random donkeys on the side of the road. The entire rest of the drive was full of foliage, and most of it being EVERGREEN TREES!

¿Como se dice...?: The chicken or the egg?
http://joilet.blogspot.com/2006/12/chicken-or-egg.html
10 months in Mexico, and now 18 in China. Sunday, December 10, 2006. The chicken or the egg? By the following weekend, he was feeling a little better, but still tired and weak, and not wanting to leave the house. So a cabin fevered Nik found a few ways to work out around the house, mostly climbing on the banister and the ladder to the roof to do some pull ups. By Monday, 1 full week, he went back to work, but was still exhausted. Posted by Joy at 10:44 PM. The best day of Nickys life. Old lady, no ropes.

¿Como se dice...?: Dreaming of a White Christmas
http://joilet.blogspot.com/2006/12/ixtapa.html
10 months in Mexico, and now 18 in China. Tuesday, December 26, 2006. Dreaming of a White Christmas. Nik and I confirmed Friday late in the day, that we could actually take a few days and go to the beach, finally. The plant had Christmas day off, so we left Saturday morning for Ixtapa/Zihuatenejo. Ixtapa. Palm tree forest until it spit us out into a small area with hardly any visitors. A cafe or two, and miles of open beach insulated by palm trees, told us that our wrong turn was really right. After the ...

¿Como se dice...?: November 2006
http://joilet.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
10 months in Mexico, and now 18 in China. Sunday, November 26, 2006. We found out mid last week that Coly's birthday was the day before Nik's. Together they decided that they should have a combined party. We agreed that it would be held at our house, and that Coly would locate a grill. Clung to my pantlegs and worked on their tickle fight skills. The children danced, the adults chatted, the margueritas flowed like wine, and there wasn't an empty seat in the house. Posted by Joy at 4:11 PM. Another person...

http://joilet.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
10 months in Mexico, and now 18 in China. Monday, September 25, 2006. Get back on your burro. First practice, Nik came in very discouraged, "The track feels like ice! During the finals, he gridded 17 out of 18, and by they time he came around the front stretch again he was in 13th. Next lap around he moved up to 11. Coly was commentating for all of us, making sure we were aware of how many positions per lap Nik was overtaking. We were all so excited to see him pass people like they were turtles! Ok, I ye...

http://joilet.blogspot.com/2006/12/hans-party.html
10 months in Mexico, and now 18 in China. Saturday, December 16, 2006. Of course we said that we would help him, but we didn't understand why you would climb a mountain if you didn’t know how to get down? It’s a little shocking that people just expect that they’ll climb up, and then find some climber to help them down. It’s a mountain people! Posted by Joy at 9:53 PM. The chicken or the egg? The best day of Nickys life. Old lady, no ropes. Finally, a hobby for Joy. Get back on your burro.
