The tear drop diaries. Thursday, February 23, 2012. Back in the groove! These last two weeks back have been awesome. Cooking in our kitchen again is so nice with this beautiful view! Besides cooking we have been pretty busy. Some of our friends have been so sweet to help us wash everything. Little by little the mold is leaving our house. We really are so blessed to have such nice neighbors. I'm sure you don't have to guess this, but my time with the girls has not been destructive like the boys. Unles...

the tear drop diaries: Välkommen
http://nikbrennaeriksson.blogspot.com/p/valkommen.html
The tear drop diaries. Welcome to the making of a. This is the house we are renting. We love it! It is in a perfect location. We are on the top of a hill, so we get a wonderful, much needed breeze. Plus the view of the ocean is just gorgeous! Unfortunately, we weren't so in love with the inside of the house, so a lot of work has had to be done. A new ceiling, paint job, bars for all our windows, plus a whole new bathroom.was just the beginning. This was before any work was done. Here is the new entrance.

The tear drop diaries. Here are some of the things we have had the opportunity to do while living down here. Arugam Bay Surf Classic 2011. Upon arriving in Sri Lanka we were given the opportunity to help the local surf club run their first nation wide surf contest. We had about a month to make it happen, and with a great team of friends, we did! The Pacific Hotel and Restaurant. This is what the rooms look like. There are twelve. Anything we could think of to do to help, we tried! We were asked to start ...

the tear drop diaries: Colombo
http://nikbrennaeriksson.blogspot.com/2012/04/colombo.html
The tear drop diaries. Wednesday, April 4, 2012. We stayed for two nights in Colombo for three reasons; a passport for Babu, some much needed rest, and a dark tan! We are happy to announce that we succeeded with all three! It is Kjell's first time in Sri Lanka and it was actually Babu's first time in Colombo. Kjell got to experience the crazy, scary traffic and Babu got to experience a pool and an escalator, plus a few other things! But first things first. Babu's Passport! We were so stoked! There and ba...

the tear drop diaries: Heading to A-bay
http://nikbrennaeriksson.blogspot.com/2012/04/heading-to-bay.html
The tear drop diaries. Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Our eight hour van ride home was a normal, stressful, fast, bumpy ride! We had poor Kjell riding in the front seat so he could really see everything. Unfortunately that meant he could really see almost every possible car crash. I think he appreciates traffic in Sweden a lot more now! The one great part about driving all the way to A-bay is getting to see this beautiful country! Nik and Brenna Eriksson. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Beauty in Ella.

the tear drop diaries: Going to Ella
http://nikbrennaeriksson.blogspot.com/2012/04/going-to-ella.html
The tear drop diaries. Saturday, April 14, 2012. This week we went up in the mountains to a town called Ella. Nik has been dying to take me there since we moved over here, it is his favorite place in Sri Lanka. Monday I found out why. It was absolutely, incredibly beautiful! It took about a four hour tuk-tuk ride to get there. The awesome part about riding in the tuk-tuk up there was the weather. The closer we got the cooler it got! In Sri Lanka "cooler" is a huge treat!
