I think the flowering cherry tree by St Mary's looks lovely. I am not sure what the red creeping plant is but thought it cheered up the castle tower! The green plant was also growing in a crevice on the castle wall. The daisy-like flowers were underneath a tree along the path past St Mary's; I don't know what they are either!

Frosty plants on the verge at the bottom of Quaves Lane, Bungay. A wonderful-looking hedge, also in Quaves Lane. A frozen droplet of water. The cobwebs were wonderful. Here's one of many on Sally's bins. Cobwebs on my TV aerial. Submitted by Tony Dawes, Bungay. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 8212; Rachel Carson. SEND US YOUR POSTS!

Walking down Bridge Street, to Chicken Roundabout, I was suddenly overcome by the heady scent of May (Hawthorn) blossom. Always a pleasure, it seems to bring back memories of childhood. Submitted by Adele Goodchild. Sunday, April 27th, 2014. Bill's Place,' St John's Road, Bungay. Itches and so forth. They were made u...

On a sunny day in June, I went for a ramble at Outney Common with my friend Phil and Jasmine's husband, John Lingwood. John explained that this was one of Jasmine's favourite haunts in Bungay, where she had grown up. Jasmine was an expert on wildflowers and was passionate about the countryside. And large clumps of Gorse in flower. Bungay has two ancient Commo...

Eastern Bush Chat: Stop That Pigeon!
http://easternbushchat.blogspot.com/2015/08/stop-that-pigeon.html
A ramble through the life of a birder and wildlife enthusiast based in the beautiful county of Norfolk. Tuesday, 18 August 2015. They do have another side, so I would like to offer an alternative view of these much maligned creatures. And grudgingly developed affection for what turned out to be a philandering, fearless thug. Despite his deformity, he would strut along the garden path heedless of the odd cat that strayed into the vicinity, he would beat up any rival that dared stray into his realm, he...

On Saturday November the 23rd, Sustainable Bungay had one of its regular walks around the town. We started off heading out of town along Ditchingham Dam and about halfway down the road, where a backwater of the river Waveney (Chainwater Beck) goes under the road, we saw a group of six or seven seagulls flying and swooping over the water. Tony Dawes, Bungay, Suffolk. Looking from the west e...

Here are a few pictures of insects and a spider on Outney Common, taken during the Suffolk Wildlife Trust's dyke dipping event last month. Firstly a male Azure damselfly - I'm pretty sure that's what it is due to the U-shaped black mark at the top end of the abdomen. Large Skipper butterfly, with Lesser Stitchwort on the left. A vortex-like web made by the Tunnel web spider. Submitted by Adele Goodchild. June 14th, 2014.
