I am eager to see and experience all of the fun and joy and celebration and love that these next few days hold for all of us! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Overland Park, Kansas, United States. Un-HolyPastorMommy is Losin' It: Things I wouldn't say...

Un-HolyPastorMommy is Losin' It. Monday, April 30, 2012. Things I wouldn't say. Steve just posted, so I decided it's time to begin this process again. I think when you're going in a mostly positive direction, it's much easier to let the world know. But, when you're really struggling.probably when you need to share it the most, even people like me (who keep virtually nothing hidden) tend to stop the typing and turn to paper journals instead. Un-HolyPastorMommy is Losin' It: My Part-Time Sabbatical
http://unholypastormommy.blogspot.com/2014/07/my-part-time-sabbatical.html
Un-HolyPastorMommy is Losin' It. Thursday, July 31, 2014. My first post in quite awhile is a recent article I wrote for my church's newsletter.it might explain why I'm back again. What Does Half a Sabbatical Equal? Hopefully a Happier, Healthier, (Maybe Even) Holier Pastor/Wife/Mama/Friend. I’d like to say this decision took a whole lot of time and a whole lot of prayer…but, really it was. One of those split second eureka moments. And I haven’t changed my mind yet, so it might even be the. Partly because...

Every Day an Adventure: Jubilee celebrations reflections day 2
http://marklepper.blogspot.com/2015/05/jubilee-celebrations-reflections-day-2.html
Friday, May 29, 2015. Jubilee celebrations reflections day 2. Today was the first full day of L'Arche USA's 50th anniversary jubilee celebration. The highlight for me had to have been the party we had this afternoon. As part of the celebration, representatives from each community paraded around carrying banners with the names of the community and the year it was founded on them. Alex, one of our core members, and I were the representatives from L'Arche Heartland. As we walked around the group that was ga...

God bless you for trying!: January 2011
http://blessyoufortrying.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
God bless you for trying! I haven't run in several weeks, and I can't stand it! If you don't love to run, you won't understand, but there are some days when I want nothing more than to be outside running. That's why it's tough to go to the window and see nothing but snow and ice out there. That's winter in Minnesota, though, so I guess I have to deal with it. I just smiled and said, "I don't step on rocks." :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I serve as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America ...

Un-HolyPastorMommy is Losin' It. Thursday, June 30, 2011. In a fabulous mood. I figured I should probably write now before it passes! I've had a post circling in my head for the past few days about parenting and children and insanity, but that one has to wait, because I need to share somefrom the unholy pastor part of me! You know the amazing thing? We sent invitations and they've showed up.on bikes and scooters, in cars and on foot! And not only the kids, but their parents, and not only me, but our own ...

God bless you for trying!: February 2010
http://blessyoufortrying.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
God bless you for trying! Well, I finally received my Vibram Five Fingers shoes several days ago. Here's what they look like:. Less than 100 days! Basically, I figured that I'm going to be training indoors at first, and these seemed to be a good compromise between cold and warm weather. Also, there was some question about the availability of the other more insulated kind, so my mind was sort of made up for me. I'll post more about them when they arrive. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). God bless you for trying!: August 2011
http://blessyoufortrying.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
God bless you for trying! Wow, a lot has happened since I posted something on here. I guess the most pertinent event for the general content of my blog is that I successfully completed the Fargo half marathon in May. I hoped to finish in around 2 hours. My official time was 2:11:51. I went out a little fast (surprise) and basically survived the last 4 or 5 miles. I thought I knew what sore legs felt like! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. God bless you for trying!: September 2011
http://blessyoufortrying.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
God bless you for trying! Why Can't I Just Be? Sometimes living feels like a lot of work, doesn't it? It's the very peculiarity of this desire for meaning that makes me keep pursuing it, though. Being human, or at least being Bryant, seems to mean being a creature that seeks to make meaning out its existence. We are all little hermeneutical creatures, constantly trying to figure out what everything means, whether we do it consciously or not. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
