Crappy pictures, rarely updated, traces of sarcasm, an ebird free zone. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Oh, its 2013? The first scan of Tiscornia this year resulted in a Western Grebe! The first vestiges of a duck flock is finally starting to form, but numbers and variety is still low. New to it were three adult male WWSC. Gulls sucked today. The GBBG and GLGU's that have been present for over a week were no where to be found, and numbers in general were down from earlier in the week. Photos = no writeup!

I believe this is only the second record for Tiscornia, and the first since 2011. The University of Tiscornia. Partly cloudy skies, E winds going S upto 9 knots, and temps hit 10. One SEOW came in off the lake in the afternoon. The University of Tiscornia. There was actually a decent flight! 19 TUSW (right on schedule).

Tuesday, October 1, 2013. We were most of the way to Klock when we started catching up to this bird. It's a juvenile Western Sandpiper. Transitioning to winter plumage, this bird is marked as a juvenile by having small pale edged wing coverts and scaps. The bird seemed to prefer looking for the brine flies (?
