Almost two weeks in. Josh and I have been here almost two weeks now and we're settling in well! We've had our first set of guests in the hotel and it's going okay so far. The hours in the hotel are really long at the moment, but hopefully the shifts will be quicker when everyone knows what they're doing! At the moment we're getting about 12.30pm - 6pm off work every day, so we can go out boarding :). We also have to deep clean all 31 bedrooms and change the linen and towels, so it's a busy busy day. ...

A change of plan. Josh and I were living and working in Verbier, Switzerland however we've had a slight change of plan and have now moved over to Meribel in France! We were really sad to leave all the friends we made in our 5 weeks in Verbier. It's amazing how close you can get when you're living, working, boarding and partying together all the time! We're hoping to keep in touch with everyone and maybe even have a little reunion at Snowbombing. So far we've been to see a local ice hockey match which was...

First adventure finished: Verbier/Meribel. We're now back in the UK after a total of 10 weeks out in The Alps - 5 weeks in Verbier and 5 weeks in Meribel. We're starting to get ready for the next adventure to Thailand - so we're spending the next 3 weeks in the UK getting jabs, buying exciting things like rucksacks and seeing family and friends. We had the best time in Meribel, we snowboarded every single day so that's 34 days straight! Some of my favourite photos from the past few weeks are below.

In helping us get this sorted, or pay any kind of compensation for the extra clothes and toiletries we had to buy while we had no bags (which was 5 days. One of my favourite places that we visited was the Grand Palace. This is the home of the King of Thailand and it also houses a very impressive temple too. The grounds were full of amazing buildings, everything is so intricately decorated here, every ceiling/roof/wall/door is covered in tiles, jewels or gold. Links to this post. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. For at least 6 months, Emilia has been asking for a bow and arrow. For obvious reasons, I kept saying no; I didn't like the idea of arrows whizzing around our heads. It takes hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, patience, and determination! And she's gotten pretty good at it these past few days. Pai is a small, very hippie, town up in the north of Thailand - it might be small but there's definitely a lot to do!
