To underline what Herman Van Rompuy said in his Nobel Lecture, and to inform people (and especially youth) as to what peace is all about, the City of Strasbourg has chosen Making Peace as the inaugural exhibition for its new 'Lieu d'Europe'. Literally meaning a 'Place of Europe'.

Rio de Janeiro →. Laquo; 2013 Utrecht. A record 110,000 people visited the Making Peace exhibition at the Nobel Museum. In Stockholm in 2013, with more than 6,000 attending the opening. This was the first time that the exhibit was adapted for an indoor presentation and the first showing in a Nordic country. Parallel activities were organised by the museum to help the general public and especially youth understand the significance of Nobel's legacy and the importance of the Nobel Peace Prize.

This time the exhibition will be shown not in one museum but two! Indeed Making Peace will be shared between the popular Östergötlands Museum. And the Swedish Air Force Museum. Which following a radical redesign in 2010 was named Sweden's Best Museum 2011. However Linköping was not always so peaceful!

The Vrede van Utrecht Foundation, in conjunction with partners in the Netherlands and Europe, developed a spectacular commemorative program entitled the "Art of making Peace" (taken from the title of the exhibition) to mark the tercentenary of the Treaty of Utrecht: concluded on 11 April 1713.
