Wednesday, 28 April 2010. The Quantum Theatre company came in on Monday and Tuesday to educate us about the benefits of exercise and a balanced diet. This was done through a mixture of drama, singing and some very funny dancing. I swapped my usual cereal for porridge as a result; I wonder if anyone else has acted upon the company's super advice. Monday, 28 September 2009. Today 30 year 6 children, two parents, Mrs Lloyd-Evans and myself set off to the Guardian News Centre to learn more about newspapers and to create our own front pages. This means that there is no access to the small playground. Sunday, 28 February 2010. Congratulations to Elise in Year 4 who won the Junior Essex open Under 13 girls competition. The first match I won on Saturday morning was against Lucy who represents the Eastern Counties with me, she could not compete with my power to the back of the court and I had a convincing 3-0 win. Following that match I had to play Imogen. Imogen had already lost to Lucy and I had an easy win. Then I put myself into the final. In the other group, I had to play Kace. Eren and Billy swam w...

Sunday, 20 December 2009. What a lovely last week of term it was - and a snowy end! The performances were once again of a very high standard and it was lovely to see so many family members coming along to the shows. Thanks must also go to the PTA for the wonderful raffle they organised again and a big thanks to all who donated. The concert at the church was fantastic and it was lovely to see and hear all the talented children at school, thanks must go to Mrs Lloyd-Evans and Miss Higgs. And Tuesday 15 th.

Wednesday, 21 October 2009. Hand Held learning Conference. As you are aware, Mrs hallybone and Mrs Snow attended this conference at the beginning of the month, along with four Year 6 children who presented in the Learners Y factor - about y they think using the Nintendo Ds console is a good idea. The video of their presentation can be viewed below. Mrs Hallybone and the school were also recognised for the work that we do by scooping the Special Achievement award at the Awards ceremony!

Saturday, 16 October 2010. Today has seen the first showing of the latest Nintendo series of adverts featuring 6HD and Mrs Hallybone. The advert is a series of 'stories' about how the Ds consoles are used. Another very nice teacher has uploaded the advert:. We also have a slightly longer 'story' which features on the website. There were some fantastic designs and it was very hard to choose the winners! Congratulations to all for the quality of the illustrations and their imaginative take on the task. Sunday, 10 October 2010. Our first Scarecrow day! It was a huge success as I think you will agree from the photos below - all the classes created a class scarecrow based on a topic that they are currently studying - look at the photos and see if you can guess the theme. Children also made their own scarecrows at home for our scarecrow competition - winners will be announced on Monday. Children also all planted bulbs on Friday and the Gardening monitors and Mrs Snow worked hard throughout.
