Next 2 Last Chapter. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Once again, For real this time. Well, that just won’t last too long, will it? Posted in Home Life. Not just another pretty face: this fellow chased off the bad guys. Too bad our peace of mind was chased away, too. Continue reading →. Posted in Home Life. I never noticed it earlier! It was a wake-up call. I can see now that without the dogs, we’ll have to start locking all the doors at night. Posted in Home Life. Did you wonder where I’ve been? After...

Next 2 Last Chapter. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Yes, it’s getting worse →. Well hell. It’s been too long since I posted anything. For a while, I wondered what this blog was all about, but I guess it’s just discovering how to acclimate myself to change. Big changes. This image of the Everglades hits home. A horizon that promises needed rain, but threatens with deadly lightning. Like the plans we’ve made to guarantee our future: on the edge of blowing up. But on second thought, why am I complaining?

Slow radicalization | Next 2 Last Chapter

Next 2 Last Chapter. Just another WordPress.com weblog. More changes…. →. A Potent Spell,. By Janna Malamud Smith should be required reading for all girls ready to leave school. Or have babies. Or get married. Or grow old, wondering where the time went. The premise is that women’s love of their children generates a horrific fear of the loss of same children that enables them to be easily manipulated. I never thought of myself as a radical women’s rights person. Triple huh and damn. Posted in Home Life.

bertie's 3rd nipple: Granny
http://berties3rdnipple.blogspot.com/2007/09/granny.html
Friday 7 September 2007. I've blogged before about how I ended up buying the house that my paternal Grandmother was born in without knowing it, (those of you who haven't read about it can do so here. So it's probably about time I blogged a bit about her, my Grandmother. The respect that was afforded to my Grandmother at Podger's funeral by people such as the Dubliners and Paddy Cole was astounding and it was as I was helping her into the funeral car and Joe Dolan came over to help me with her that I real...

bertie's 3rd nipple: Curiosity Killed the Cat?
http://berties3rdnipple.blogspot.com/2007/09/curiosity-killed-cat.html
Monday 3 September 2007. Curiosity Killed the Cat? Not this time, it was a mad Australian woman! The aptly named Kat Kessing (honest to Jaysus, you couldn't make this stuff up), a childrens author from near Alice Springs (beware of what you let your kids read folks) has been roaming the Outback catching, killing, cooking and eating feral cats and has now produced a recipe book stuffed full of moggy masterpieces. For anyone interested in experimenting, her recipe for a Stewed Cat-erole is:. Superfluous an...

http://berties3rdnipple.blogspot.com/2007/07/im-not-one-for-believing-in-fate-or.html
Monday 9 July 2007. I'm not one for believing in fate or destiny or anything like that, but the following story really challenges that belief. It's a completely true story except I have changed a couple of details, like the address, as I don't want any Internet freaks calling to my door. Each time someone new visits the house they get this story, so it's about time I published it. After a couple of minutes the conversation went thus:. My Ma: What are you doing in town? My Ma: What Number? My Great Grandm...

The Uncivil Servant's Rant: A Typical Civil Service Day Part Two
http://govstooge.blogspot.com/2007/08/typical-civil-service-day-part-two.html
The Uncivil Servant's Rant. What your taxes pay me to do. Wednesday, August 1, 2007. A Typical Civil Service Day Part Two. So, following on from the previous posting. In this series, I enter my section and await the replacement HEO squad, which takes five minutes, possibly the quickest thing ever to take place in the civil service. The replacement HEO looks identical to the one whose head exploded earlier and leads me to think that all middle to senior managers have clones waiting in the basement. I spen...

The Uncivil Servant's Rant. What your taxes pay me to do. Thursday, May 24, 2012. Is it wrong to like Jedward? Answers on an old form please, or the back of a €20 note if form not available. Labels: I like Jedward. Maybe I found myself passionately defending the decision to have them carry the olympic torch without realising that I had any feelings for them at all. I sent myself straight to bed with no tea. May 25, 2012 at 9:33 AM. May 26, 2012 at 9:59 AM. Thats telling me. Definitely. Maybe. Want to kno...
