The Way of the Padawan: Birds and Waves
https://aricrona.blogspot.com/2015/07/birds-and-waves.html
The Way of the Padawan. You must unlearn all that you have learned." Yoda. July 3, 2015. A few shots from my walk at Damon Point yesterday. I'm pretty sure these birds are red-throated loons, male and female. The sun was shining, the breeze cool as the tide rolled in. This brown pelican looks like he's swallowing whatever he ate. Odd pose to catch, but interesting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Viewing a Little of My World. Attaining the rank of Jedi. Jedi must put the needs of the community. Atten...

It's been a full and wonderful year, with times of excitement, boredom, wallowing, happiness, adventure, hard work, relaxation - the full gamut. I want to note the highlights in order of importance to me rather than chronological:. First and foremost is t. Ime with my dear friends. A visit with Jacob. A visit from Kevin. Time with my sister.

Ruminations from the Temple: I once had a friend.
http://hendeldbu.blogspot.com/2015/01/i-once-had-friend.html
Ruminations from the Temple. Who is Hendel Dbu? January 13, 2015. I once had a friend. I have had many friends over my 50 years of life. In my mind, I live with all of these ghosts nearly every day. As a child, my mother would console my sadness at a loss of friendship by telling me that they were ‘just jealous’ and I needed to just move on. I never could manage to believe her. I once had a friend who liked me because I hired her for a job. I once had a friend who wanted to play Frisbee and badminton wit...

Ruminations from the Temple: Who is Hendel Dbu?
http://hendeldbu.blogspot.com/p/who-is-hendel-dbu.html
Ruminations from the Temple. Who is Hendel Dbu? Who is Hendel Dbu? How else does one describe themselves but by labels? I wear the label of daughter, sister, and mother. I can be snarky, funny, compassionate and hugely empathetic. I am introspective, intuitive, and observant to the extreme. I am an INFJ, HSP, Empath, and probably a touch dyslexic. I am a skeptic, a questioner, and a seeker of answers. I am experienced, somewhat hardened, sometimes traumatized by what I see. Socially, I am:. Never forget ...

Ruminations from the Temple. Who is Hendel Dbu? V, to turn a matter over and over in the mind; to meditate or ponder; to reflect deeply on a subject. You that would judge me, do not judge alone this book [blog] or that, come to this hallowed place where my friends' portraits hang and look thereon . . . think where man's glory most begins and ends and say my glory was I had such friends.". I treat others respectfully, attacking ideas and not people. I also welcome respectful disagreement with my own i...

The Way of the Padawan: Fog
http://aricrona.blogspot.com/2015/08/fog.html
August 8, 2015. As I drove up the coast yesterday in the bright sunshine to spend some time prepping my new classroom, I noticed a dark fog bank hanging out on the northern horizon. On the way back, I stopped at one of my favorite spots to walk. The fog bank had migrated south, apparently! My favorite pic is this little sanderling:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ruminations from the Temple: A Long, Winding Road to Sweet Freedom
http://hendeldbu.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-long-winding-road-to-sweet-freedom.html
Ruminations from the Temple. Who is Hendel Dbu? June 30, 2015. A Long, Winding Road to Sweet Freedom. Today, in this moment of quietude, I know one thing clearly: everything changes. The weather changes, as does the scenery and souls surrounding it. Companions come and go, experiences are never fully appreciated until after they have passed, and the mind is forever a ruthless taskmaster. And that is where freedom begins. Freedom to live authentically. Freedom to be true. To the essence of my being. I hav...
