Leaving our church, packing our apartment and moving to (we will be able to fill in the blank after Match Day in March), Casey's last couple rotations of medical school, his graduation ceremony(! And our little bean's second birthday (sniff, sniff), aaaallllll in the next 16 weeks. My mind is spinning. with excitement, a little anxiety, and deep gratitude for all that we have to look forward to. So undeserving, we are. And I know all we are guaranteed is the very moment we are in. I love my little buddy.

Although I have moments of sadness when I think of my friends and the time that I am no longer spending with them, and my parents whom we cannot see as often, I am so very grateful for the chapter of life that we are living in. I have struggled most of my life with genuinely living in the moment, and not only living in it, but experiencing all that it has to offer, giving it all that. Is just around the corner. she is currently #1 on the waiting list to receive her sweet babe from Ethiopia! I take this m...

I recently had the pleasure of spending a day with Amber and Chris's sweet baby girl Avery Grace. Besides not being able to get her to sleep for her afternoon nap and feeling horribly guilty about passing off a tired baby to her daddy at the end of the day, Avery and I had a wonderful time playing! We went on two walks, both with her in the Baby Bijorn. Amber told me that she likes to face outward to look at things while you stroll, and boy is that true! We walked to Magnuson. Luke loved meeting Avery.

For myself, spring brings with it hope. I look around and see new growth, tiny buds breaking through the ground, flowers trying to bloom, fresh grass blades growing through the older ones, and I am encouraged. Hope is an element that has the power to sustain and energize one's soul, to help one remained focused on things that matter most. It was a perfect setting for us girls to relax and laugh together. it was medicine for my soul, as I miss those girls so very much! Love you, girlies! The heat has star...

Well here we are in November and we are still requiring the use of AC! It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and we have a bright pink-flowered tree to look out our window. The streets are lined with palm trees and I am in a skirt and flip flops. Sound like autumn? Although we miss the crisp weather, the crunchy leaves, and the red, orange and yellow colors that seem to coat the streets of Seattle, we are glad to be here, in Loma. Linda and again striving to enjoy. As their whole career. Thanks again, Steph.

Aaaaand here are some captured memories of our sweet monchhichi over the past several months. My oh my how time does fly when you are having fun! And forgive me, I've spent hours (literally) on uploading these photos, and I do not have the energy to now organize them to be in sequential order. Ha. Christmas parade in La Jolla with friends. Liam and Wyatt. BFFs. Grandma and Grampy spoiled us three with a winter holiday in Maui. Oh my, what fun we had! Love the tummy rolls. I love the water and my Grampy!

The best guess we received as to how Liam became septic was either that he acquired the bug from a visitor's skin (GBS lives on 30% of the population's skin according to one of our doctors), or that Liam had a deeply seeded pneumonia that eventually took off and spread to his blood stream. We will never know. But we do know that he is healed, and that is more than enough for me. I was recently chatting on the couch with a friend. The answer is yes. I am a work in progress. But because I am so proud of al...

Please excuse the reverse order of these photos. I've just spent over an hour uploading them onto this blog otherwise I'd try and arrange them in chronological order. (I'm not the best with technology. shocker, I know). These photos do not capture all of the moments we've experienced the last few months, however we hope they will give you a glimpse into our new world. For starters, a look at our new apartment. (Ward residence number three since getting married.). Can you say 'books galore'? The thing abo...

A few random captured memories. The past several months have been filled with wonderful blessings. Here are a few photos that have captured some of our recent happenings. (completely out of order, by the way. sorry). Shauna and her sweet babe Maeve. Came down south to San Diego for a fabulous weekend holiday. How loved and spoiled I feel to have friends who come down to visit me! We had a weekend full of adventure. Sea World, the beach where Maeve. Going to bed nicely and a willing baby sitter!
