220814 · 12:52. Arkeologiske undersøkelser langs Vinstravassdraget har nylig avdekket en grav ved Vinstervatn. De fant en samling av jerngjenstander i en steinsatt ring nesten helt nede ved vannet. Gravgodset består av 12 pilspisser, 2 kniver, spydspiss, saks, skinnskraper og pren. Funnet kan dateres typologisk til ca. 500 e.Kr. For sikrere datering og nærmere opplysninger må vi vente på rapporten med analyseresultatene. Både funnstedet på høyfjellet og sammensetningen av gravgods. Raquo; på Facebook.

Det er visst et helt år siden siste innlegg… i fjor på samme tid var jeg i Jokkmokk og feiret, men i år feirer jeg samenes nasjonaldag hjemme i Oslo i mammapermisjon. Mitt navn er Hege Skalleberg Gjerde. Jeg er utdannet arkeolog fra Universitetet i Oslo, men studerte også et par år i Bergen før jeg flyttet østover. Handler om mulig samisk bosetning i Hallingdal i middelalderen. Dette vet vi nesten ingen ting om siden den samiske tilstedeværelsen først nylig har fått plass i forskningen.
