The best place to be, is in motion. Sunday, 15 June 2008. Tad Sae and Kouang Xi waterfalls. Today Ciaran and I headed to see Kouang Xi and Tad Sae waterfalls. Heading to the smaller of the two first (Tad Sae) we passed the elephant camp and went for a swim at the interesting falls that rush through the trees into various blue pools. Heading back from here we stopped at a pineapple market and bought a full pineapple to eat for around 13 cents! And it was one of the most delicious pineapples i've eaten!

Bangkok- buckets, markets and massages. After finding a guesthouse half the price of my first night, I got talking to a few people in the restaurant downstairs. I wasn't planning on a big night, but we ended up heading to Khao San, and going to the bucket stall. We drank buckets of Sangsom Thai whiskey, coke and red bull, which went down far too easily! My overnight bus was actually really good- I even got to watch a decent movie, in English! I had dinner at one of the many restaurants along the beach with some people staying at my resort. We arrived in Vang Vieng in the early afternoon. We had to walk through what I thought was a big car park to get to our hotel, but it was actually the air strip! A few of us hired bicycles and rode 7km out to Blue Lagoon swimming hole. Our bikes were definately not designed to ride on bumpy dirt roads! As the boat pulled in to the harbour, I could tell straight away that Phi Phi had changed a lot in the 2 years since I had been there last. There were a lot more bulidings, guesthouses and restaurants crammed into the main town. The centre of the island was so developed you couldn't see across to the other side. Welcome to vietnam- saigon! Arrived in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) to crazy traffic! I though Phnom Penh was busy, but i was very wrong!
