I love barns and mountains and bodies of water - so this ride through Arlington, Oso, Darrington, Rockport, Lyman, Hamilton, Sedro Woolley, Clear Lake, Big Lake, Lake McMurray, and Bryant is one of my favorites. It's interesting to look at the strata in the hillside that collapsed. Sand levels are clearly visible in several places, which probab...

Precision Countertops came out on 8/10/2015 and did a very precise layout of our cupboards in the kitchen, laundry room, and all three bathrooms. While most of the work was done in their shop in Kent, the two installers had to piece the parts together and carefully seal all seams. They did a fantastic job! If we had a working sink, we would be moved in already! Links to this post. Monday, August 10, 2015.

Sad though we are to say good bye to a boat that we've owned and loved for 14 years, we couldn't leave it on the dock if we no longer owned the house. Fortunately, we found a friend who will love and care for it! Our neighbors, Connie and James,. Went out with us to see how it ran, and introduced us to. Links to this post. Ron's sist...

Years ago (ten to be exact) when we were building these Georgia homes as a family project, my brother-in-law, Scott, came down from Alaska to be our general contractor. To our dismay, we made up the construction crew. It was an interesting project to say the least! Lots of trees - all looking kind of similar. But the detector kept sounding, and Ron kept digging, and suddenly he hit paydirt! We probably sho...

R and R travels. Random posts about family, gardens, crafts, and travels. Tuesday, November 11, 2014. The Great Paint Project of November 2014. When we built our Georgia house in 2006, my brother, David, brought his sawmill to Georgia to help with the project. We purchased a load of Cypress logs, and we cut the logs on site into boards that we later planed and stained and used to side our house. We chose a color that we.
