Chemical-free and organic fruit and vegetable directory. Last modified July 25, 2016. Years ago, I bought a bag of strawberries from a farmer at a market. I popped one in my mouth absentmindedly as I walked away. The strawberry oozed with sweetness and a depth of flavour I had never experienced; they were soft, and dyed my fingers and teeth. I turned back and demanded answers. 8220;Why are these strawberries so delicious? 8221; I asked. 8220;I pick them ripe,” the Horsley farmer replied. Government free ...

Free-range eggs in Australia: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, Northern Territory, ACT

Pastured and free range eggs directory. Last modified June 28, 2016. Sure the carton says “free range”, and there may be photos of verdant pastures and room for the chickens but are you really getting what you think you are? Despite the free range Model Code capping stocking density at 1 500 hens per hectare, some farms cram in more than 20 000. And some eggs come from flocks of up to 120 000! Is it any wonder when over half of the free range eggs sold in Australia come from only. With round, golden yolk...

I’ve just had a look at my first writing in australia and realized it was all about mornings and written in english. I had not planned to write this one in english, neither I could remember that the first one was already about mornings. The picture of a ‘rise and shine’ loop in which I am having an australian ride makes me smile. Every morning offers the possibility of an abso...

Organic and unhomogenised milk in Australia: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, Northern Territory, ACT
http://flavourcrusader.com/blog/2011/03/family-dairy-milk-organic
Unhomogenized and organic milk directory. Last modified July 24, 2016. While supermarkets compete over the price of milk, farmers step out of the ring and compete with quality. Since the industry was deregulated in 2000, farmers have been able to bottle their own milk. And since Coles began the milk war in 2011, many more have also begun. Artist as Family: December 2014

Monday, 22 December 2014. Hills and thrills and possum stew (from Cobargo to Orbost). While staying with Ronnie and Phil on their farm just north of Cobargo we got to see up close what a small-scale commercial dairy looks and smells like. This is a common picture in regional Australia, the debt that is. Zeph hit it off with Ronnie and Phil's son, Alexander, sharing a love of independent mobility. We had such a restorative and nourishing time with you all. On the morning of our talk at Sweet Home Cobargo.
