Friday, February 26, 2016. Tarta de Santiago - a 'merienda' snack in Madrid. After school at around 5pm the spanish children have what's know as a ' merienda. Snack It's the equivalent of our tea-time - a simple light meal that often consists of a piece of fruit, biscuits, cake, yogurt, and other snacks paired with juice, tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Our kids come home ravenous - the kitchen is chaos around 5pm with 5 hungry mouths to feed. Tarta de Santiago (with a hint of Irish). 1 tsp of cinnamon.

Thursday, February 3, 2011. Bubble, London 2011. We made it. After a busy and intensive few months Old Rectory's debut kids clothing range was launched at Bubble Trade show. James setting up Old Rectory stand. Pyjamas, tops, blankets and hats. With no idea as to what to expect, we were really chuffed at the feedback and reception we got from the show's attendees. Clothes aside, we were honoured to be awarded alongside Frugi, in 'Most Creative Stand'. Hugo and Senan find entertainment with the Bubble-man.

As usual there was the last minute rush the night before of finding a wayward school tie, HB pencils and the frantic sewing of name tags onto aertex shirts - a cool relief from the schools' ubiquitous polycotton, yippee the Summer! Comfortable kids wear by Old Rectory. Wearing Owl print top. Clay modeling at Ballard Farm. On our workshop on June 11th. And are hoping to put up a couple of more dates over the summer.
