Yarns of Podunk, USA. Monday, November 3, 2008. Ridin' In The Rain. Friend called and wanted to go 4wheeling to the top of Desert Mountain.who am I to say no? So off we went on the 2 hour venture in a total downpour. Just made for more mudpuddle fun is all. Sittin' at a lookout, not that you can tell.and apparently too big o' pants completely soaked = plumber butt. With my bud Mysti. Just a LITTLE wet/muddy. Out of the clouds. Gotta play in the mud a while.leaving visor up is fun too. Ridin In The Rain.

Put in at Lake McDonald boat launch and paddled creek to Quarter Circle, then walked up Middle Fork of Flathead to West Glacier rather than attempting to paddle upstream Oooo. Deer crossing creek at Oxbow. The two of 'em played and splashed around a bit. Merganser and babies.so fun to sit and watch, the babies remind me of harlequins. Yarns of Podunk, USA. Thursday, July 16, 2009. Had the fun of being a volunteer at The Glacier Challenge. A 6 event, 55 mile race. Hopefully compete next year.interested in forming team? These two did all events solo, but always together. Married the day before, so combined planning for wedding with training for big event. 2nd to last leg - Canoe. Road bike time.nice get-up. Time to hit the North Fork, and what's a river/creek trip w/out needing to hitch-hike back to rig.Amanda left the key to her car, on the front seat of my car 5 miles upstream. Nothin' more than a good laugh. Starting place - nice view, ospreys fishing.ahhhhhh. Anyone that knows me well, knows that this picture alone shows just how far I've come. Lil' creepy to have clouds like that rolling in on ya, paddle hard time. Lil' nook in the lake.

About 30 degrees cooler than last week, but the lake was MUCH smoother, even Fish Creek that shoved me out into the lake a ways was barely moving. Someone using the visitor center bathroom was a smidge bored apparently.If you can't make it out, it says "Press Button for Bush Speech". Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Got to have the folks up for a couple weeks, so here's a series of photos from driving around w/ them.

Yarns of Podunk, USA. Monday, January 26, 2009. 10 days of inversion, finally a CLEAR day. Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous out, so I went on another lil' photo safari. Was even colder than Saturday was though. Standing on the boat dock at the lodge. Looking back towards Apgar/foot of the lake. Middle Fork of the Flathead and Belton Hills. Good ol' Great Northern and Hungry Horse Reservoir. On the road again. First up.St. Ignatius Mission, I love this church. Moving on to Kerr Dam. It's winter in Montana.
