Pool is a Journey: September 2014
http://pooljourney.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 19, 2014. The other day a road player was in the pool room and everyone was trying to figure out who he was and what his name was. And, where he is from and can he play well, etc. The road player is in the middle of a second set with one of the local players, and his opponent goes outside to take a break. Turns out he was on the phone calling friends trying to find out who he was playing. He comes back in and the road player tells him, "Go ahead, Phone a Friend, I don't care.". Even whe...

Here is a photo of me shooting in a match:. If I was to take a photo of me and flip it horizontal, you get this:. All of a sudden I'm shooting right handed! Yea, no good flipping photos of pool players shooting pool. :). Links to this post. Labels: Different and/or Interesting. Monday, March 30, 2015. I actual...

Saturday, May 30, 2015. How cool and what an honor! Links to this post. Labels: Different and/or Interesting. Friday, May 29, 2015. Be Aware of the Drunks. I was playing league last night in my ladies league. Before we started, one of our opponents, and a friend of mine, was playing a guy who had been hovering around. I did not know if she knew this guy or not. Let me just begin right now calling him "the Drunk". Sure enough, I have to play my friend first, who was just playing the Drunk. I was glad I di...

Pool is a Journey: October 2014
http://pooljourney.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2014. As many of you know, I run the Omega Billiards Tour. Which is a handicapped tour. Running a handicapped tour comes with headaches because so many people complain about either their handicap or the handicap of others. I should be moved down. Why am I this rank? Why hasn't "so and so" been moved up yet? You moved me up, they should be moved up. We play even! I don't even play pool anymore, I should be moved down. If I have to give that person a game, I wont play. Yep, I sure did.

Pool is a Journey: January 2015
http://pooljourney.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. I had gambled earlier in January and wanted to provide more details, just in case you wondered how it went, since I didn't say how the night ended up in my previous blog entry. I mostly talked about one aspect - dealing with negativity. My opponent and I (a guy) were suppose to play $300 sets, 6 ahead, 9-ball on a 9-foot table. He finally agreed to play on the Diamond bar table and he came up with the wager: $25 a game. I said yes. But, I played well. Well, I played good.
