So one fine day in the middle of the German summer, one was making ones usual pilgrimage to Wacken, listening to metal, drinking beer, talking to randoms. The usual drill really. One met some chilled dudes from Southern Germany sporting some fine headgear. We talked, drank beer, shouted band names at each other. Again, the usual drill. Dodgy drive over aside, and forgetting the CRAP VIP camping, Brutal Assault immediately became one of my favourite festivals! Huge line up, classy venue in a Castle, cave bars, cheap awesome beer, friendly randoms. What is not to like? I can even forgive the downpour. The one HUGE downside? August 21, 2014.
