The days in Dalian. Sunday, May 3, 2009. Winter was just over and the spring is here : ) Therefore there is a sakura festival (樱花节） here in Dalian. This is an optional trip so only some of us are going. Wowit's good to look down from bird eyeview! Everybody is sitting in groups within the bushes. Nice place to have picnic : ). The man used leaves to do weaving. Dragon, grasshopper.whatever.I bought one dragon and it costs 10 yuan. Here the main role comes. The sakura really looks nice! Do you think so?

The days in Dalian. Sunday, May 3, 2009. Today we went out without any plan. Just anyhow board a bus and see if any stop is interesting. We board 621 bus and reached the last stop called 甘井子. That place doesn't have tourist attraction. What it has is only shops and wet markets. I think the purpose for this immersion programme is not only to visit those tourist spots but also immerse ourselves into the life of the local people here. It taste a little bit like sambal sotong : ). It's cute, isn't it?

The days in Dalian. Friday, May 29, 2009. Today we went to Xinghai Park. Heard from the tourguide last time, Xinghai Park is also one of the famous spot in Dalian. We took BRT to Xing Gong Street and then took tram to reach there. There are small theme park there and also beach over there. Along the street, we can see stalls that are selling souvenirs. I decided to tried the rice dumplings from few stalls. Thus Jonathan, Anglia and I went to buy rice dumplings after our “jogging” in the morning. We bought the red bean paste ones from 2 different stalls. Both of them was not bad…Thus in the afternoon we decided to try to meat one. 4 more days to submission.
